2 more New Haven officers fired for involvement in Randy Cox case

Two more New Haven officers were fired by the Board of Police Commissioners on Wednesday in a vote for their alleged involvement in the Richard "Randy" Cox incident in 2022.
Officers Oscar Diaz and Sergeant Betsy Segui were the two officers terminated in the special meeting. The vote was recommended by Police Chief Karl Jacobson.

ABOVE all laws while seat-belts and safety has been enforced for 50 years. Only cops use large vans to move a single body for a short drive away. The waste of fuel, medical services, and more resources is all from lack of humanity by selfish and arrogant brutes. the cost is so extreme to move a person safely in a car to the station. A large van to move multiple people should be a rarely used requirement with special training, monitored and have set regulations. Safety must outweigh ego, authority, speed, or any other excuse.

The question is has their certifications been revoked I’m sure this isn’t the first time they’ve acted this way, and I’m sure it won’t be the last, especially if they’re rehired somewhere else or biking, some communities hired in another year right back on the same department they should be held criminally negligent as well as Connecticut constitution states that the law enforcement is to be held to a higher standard than the public but yet that seems to be the opposite every time

So sad. I feel bad for everyone really. They are actually good officers and it’s shown through the years. Not justifying anything but year after year they have done good. It’s hard at times to see bad things happen to good people and see torreta get away with whatever. Just saying. I pray for all involved.

No they fking didnt, they were completely incompetent and a rookie handling of the situation. Anything can happen on duty, and those officers should treat every person innocent until guilty and as an officer its their DUTY to make sure those INNOCENT people are being heard and in good health. Completely disgusting behaviour by all those involved and those officers deserve to never see the light of day again. IDIOT
