I had the same exact problem with my knee and your recommendations are so spot on (and we are in same age demo ♥). Rest, collagen, and good form with squats helped a lot (squeeze those cheeks is brilliant!)

Hi MeLisa. Your question is a very good one. I’ll be doing a video to break that all down, but let me explain it to you here: it’s recommended that you do what’s called “collagen loading”. This consists of 20 -40 grams of collagen daily for 6 to 8 weeks - this helps you get your collagen levels back up to a reasonable level (you’re replenishing the collagen you’ve lost over the years). Then, collagen maintenance consists of 10-20 grams of collagen definitely - this keeps your collagen at a healthy level. Hope that helps!

Hi Deborah. I wouldn’t buy any collagen product marketed as vegan. It’s a big scam. Collagen derived from plant sources is extremely negligible and not worth your money. Same goes for marine collagen- it’s not the ideal source for the desired outcome. Not worth it. I’m sorry this isn’t the news you hoped for but don’t spend your money on anything but well-sourced bovine collagen. So sorry. ❤

You're right about collagen. I was having extreme knee pain, especially after I would wake up in the morning from sleeping. Collagen has helped me tremendously. My go to collagen is Vital Proteins.
