Hey everyone, welcome to my channel! Today I'm happy to offer you a new chakra yoga class, this time focusing on the sacral/svadhistana chakra. This second chakra is connected to your feelings, your creativity, your sensuality and sexuality. Physically it is thought to be located in the area of the pelvis, between your navel and pubic bone.
This practice will work on your hips quite deeply. Not just stretching but also strengthening them! Balancing our chakras is about allowing for a healthy flow of energy which means we need a strong container as well as spaciousness. Not overactive, not underactive. You will need one block for this pose. This is great for intermediate students.

What I learnt and what came up for me was this was clearly a part of myself I had been neglecting. A couple years ago I had an operation to remove a tumor on my right ovary, I was 22 at the time so the whole experience was scary and life altering. I've also recently just gone through a break were I felt I gave way too much of myself and neglected my own needs for the past year and a half. It so good to be reminded of our own potential and how good one can feel when they take care of themselves the way they would take care of others. Namaste Kassandra. Hello Kassandra Many thanks for this flow. As a 63 year old who had 4 children my pelvic floor is not as it was ! I've been doing so many pelvic floor exercises to try to help my problems but this is this only one which has connected my sense of self and to feel empowered. An awareness of calm resulted. Before I have felt so very guilty for still have problems with this area of my body.

I’ve been working on opening up my chakras and this is a great practice if you are wanting to open up or tame the sacral chakra. It’s a great, balanced practice for those with tight hips as well. Kassandra is the best out there at explaining postures, benefits of why she’s doing certain poses and creating yoga sequences. If you haven’t tried her yet, do yourself a favor and try her out. I helped my boyfriend to put a very heavy old microwave on the back of his truck last Monday and yesterday i woke up so sore everywhere! My hips my stomach my shoulders ! This class had helped me a lot with that tension! Thank you !! You are the best !

This is my first 45 mins long yoga practise. I have PCOS and I have chosen this practise for this reason. What I can say is that I feel my ovaries move and make me feel like they are working actively. Thank you so much Kassandra. After years of having tried beginning to yoga, I finally managed to do it with you!

Hi Kassandra. I am just writing to thank you for your yoga videos. I started with your 60 minute vinyasa flow, which I liked very much, but recently I switched to this hips strength and stretch to target the weakness and pain I have been having in my lower body after a spinal surgery. I find your classes very helpful and I appreciate your big heartedness. It's very generous of you to offer these videos. I expect to explore more of your classes as time goes by.

It was this kind of morning where you don't want to go. Bed sheets seem sticky and you feel tomorrow will be a better day... I finally stood up and did it and I know now that I was right. Not sure I saw the Orange stuff, but it was a good workout. 61, french man living in Dubai.

Yoga with Kassandra I love this one and needed it. I have been doing yoga ad hoc with you since January, and then more regularly since Lockdown. I love your classes and channel! I don’t like routine, so I have a playlist with many of your classes. I just decide how much time I have, what my body needs, then I take one of your classes. Because I have Osteopenia and struggling with my hips, lower back and connected most classesI take are focused on this area. This class is now one of my favorites as it targets all the areas in the Chakra. Thank you for bringing Yoga right into my office in South Africa!

Thank you for making these. You have helped so many people. Sneezed in the middle of the om - stuff about respect and honoring my divinity came up in this - the weakness in some parts of my body served as a reminder to keep up a daily practice and to acknowledge the forces that distract me or make me think that I don’t need to do an hour of yoga everyday which is a lie - thank you for you.

I spent the whole day anxious, with my thoughts running all over and needed to calm down. While practicing and releasing all the resistance I felt angry. very angry. I did not know I was angry so now after this class I will write down my feelings and let go of anything I need today. I knew you would help me. Thank you for everything you do.

I started seven days of chakra balancing yesterday (I do this about once every three or four months), and I ran across this practice today while deciding what do for swadhistana. The sacrum is part of the tailbone as I recall. I believe it means "seat of the soul" in Greek. I just recall bruising my sacrum in a fall from skateboarding, and it was the most intense full body pain I had felt. I nearly passed out. Namaste.

I've been doing your classes for the past year and this is one of my favorites, a great class for pelvic floor health! I've been dealing with chronic pelvic floor tension and pain for about two and half years now (from an injury and stress, in general) and this class has a lot of the stretches that target that region. It is common knowledge that a lot of women suffer from pelvic floor issues, but many men suffer as well. Chronic pelvic floor tension and pain can manifest as everything from stomach cramps, constipation, incontinence, testicular pain, sexual dysfunction, hip and knee pain, and more, and it's really hard to heal from as we hold so much tension in that region. Several of your classes have been helpful to me in regarding pelvic floor issues, Yin to Vin water element, yoga for sexual libido, yoga for the psoas, and many of the other classes that target the hips and hamstrings. Maybe you could speak of this syndrome at some point, or structure a class specifically for it, although this one really was spot on in that regard. Thank you for sharing all that you do!

Story time: Last night I went to a Third Eye class, which, through a meandering chain of events, got me honing in on the Sacral Chakra today. I read that a blockage of the Sacral Chakra could manifest as low back pain and hip pain. I have been dealing with both for a few months! I thought it was scatica, but my doctor says it's not and referred me to physical therapy. It's been to the point that yoga has been uncomfortable during & after, which I've been so sad about. I also have been dealing with a lack of creative motivation in regards to my writing. So, I did a 10 minute meditation, and later did this yoga class. I'm happy to say I made it through with some of that good stretching pain, not limiting, damaging pain. I am excited to see how I feel tomorrow morning! And specific to the class, it was superbly engaging! Great poses and sequences. It was intense at times, and I sweated a lot- all those leg/hip/foot circles. lol But I made it through and had a really relaxing Child's Pose and Savasana for the first time in quite a while. Thread the Needle was also not difficult like it's been recently. I'm grateful. Namaste.

I can practice Yoga with you every morning because your classes bring rest as well as much as strenght, so I don't feel like I am working out, but more like I am enjoying while practicing. They have such a beautiful balance. I really like this themed practices. You alos have the elements which I enjoyed very much. I would really like to see more of these classes which are also longer 45-60-90 min classes. Thank you for your beautiful presence.

Loved this. Especially for spiritual hip work. I am a runner and have really been struggling with my hip soreness. Also the emotional storage of the pandemic I find really builds in my hips, between stress and emotions and sitting in weird chairs to do home office work. Although I'm interested in all the chakra work the combination of everything going on with my hips right now is what really spoke to me. Thank you!

This is a video I will come back to many times. After having pelvic radiation treatments for cancer, this area is rough. I also use my right knee to work an industrial sewing machine. My low back and hips are always tight and painful. I have to start everyday with stretching or a full yoga session to function. The balance of strength and release are just what I needed! Thank you Kassandra, I feel good, it's going to be a great day!! namaste 🙏

Good morning Kassandra. Wow.....that sacral chakra session was amazing. This is the first time doing this session and my hips said “ouch” and are very appreciative of the various poses. Thank you for a great practice. I have been on a hiatus from my practice and began again when I had covid last month. It helped me to stay centered during my isolation and also helped with the pain. At that time I could only do 10 minutes of very mild yoga. Just did this practice today and was able to do the whole things. Thank for sharing this with all so that we can practice from home.

I’ve redone this one a few times and i still enjoy it. I enjoy the flows and the longer classes. I always forget though that this one has no music, which I must admit I do miss, so if you have an appropriate playlist to put in the background, I would recommend it. Great slow flow class, perfect to end my day on.

I recently went on a spiritual journey and every time I closed my eyes I saw the color orange. I recently started using an orange coffee mug because tis the season! Then I bumped into this video. Thank you, Kass! I've been a fan for over a year now!!

Awesome, as always. I love the focus on balancing the container and the freedom. Especially with this chakra, I can use more opening and freedom. During the half moon poses, I noticed that my right leg out side would not even hold at all. I couldn't balance whatsoever, which is unusual for me, but I'll be working with it and notice what changes occur. Thanks so much; you're always so insightful, encouraging, and provide amazing guidance.

This was an absolutely perfect practise. I came back from taekwondo class which is lower body heavy, but I still had some energy left and of course I needed a good stretch. Just perfect perfect ❤❤
