My mom's favorite thing when watching truckers park on snow or dirt. How they will all neatly line up on the first one there, and park. so in the morning, all the trucks will be parallel with you :)

love the snow since i don't have drive in it anymore. :) we had some snow here in the valley last Nov, next day it was gone. lot of snow in the mtns though. better up there, means more water for the farmers in the hot summer months.

Hi Dan, I don't know if you read comments but!!!, am a retired UK OTR truck driver(called lorry drivers over here) after 40 years. Your educational comments about snow/ice driving was a lesson I also learned and used over many years. I enjoy you videos, to me a real "lorry driver" of the old school. Hard life but wish you well.

The ice will get you if you are not careful. On our road here in Oregon it is 7.5 miles long from town to another road, people use it as a shortcut to the other road instead of going west to the start of the other road which is mostly straight. The first 2 miles are straight then a long gentle s curve then starts getting crooked then a half mile straight stretch then a sharp s curve. The temperature yesterday morning was 34, but people drive like there is no tomorrow and yesterday the sharp curve got two more vehicles. Makes about 40 accidents and 8 deaths on this road in 28 years we have lived here. The sharp s curve has claimed about 15 cars and the curves were lessened from 90° decades ago. Keep driving safe Dan.

@@inlikearefugee5194 It's a rule of thumb analogy. If they've been salting all day or the temp is above 32f we all know what happens. Likewise when the temp drops below 32f we know what happens. Best to play defence when it looks glassy and no spray. Drive friendly

At about the 10:20 mark you set your brakes. It sounded like both the truck and the trailer. If that is correct. Why both sets of brakes in those conditions? I would be concern my trailer brakes would freeze.
