It may be difficult to do seemingly simple tasks all because you’re too overwhelmed by your anxious thoughts and stressful to-do list. Well, to help relieve some of your stress and anxiety, here are some daily habits that can reduce stress and anxiety.

@@TaraTara-ld2xb Reduce negative thoughts. Its quite simple. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes or more. Let thoughts come. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Whenever you are free during the day or night before sleep sit or lie down still for a few minutes and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Feel the stillness flow within you. Make it a daily habit. Do the above meditation daily to have a good life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

7. Write stuff down. If something emotional is stressing you out, write down your thoughts in a journal. If it’s work, writing down your work will help you manage it, such as by breaking down work into manageable tasks.

I'm honestly a bit shook. I've been dealing with a high anxiety day and the first thing I did to calm down was go to wash dishes. It felt like it was something instinctual, that I needed to wash dishes in order to calm down and feeling the warm water helped. 20 minutes later youtube recommended this video to me! Talk about great timing to give me validation of my coping mechanism!

I think it's not the dishes, nor the smell that makes it relaxing. To me, cleaning in general actually reduces my stress. I think a clean room or view makes it more comfortable to relax, and the way you know that you worked hard to clean it feels like an accomplish.

I want to share three tips that help me deal with stress myself. * Stress can cause anxiety. So try this: First, recognize that some stress is inevitable. Fretting over things you cannot prevent increases your stress. Second, understand that quite often things do not turn out the way we may fear they will. * Be modest, set reasonable standards, and know both your limitations and those of others. When you do this, you will reduce stress all around and even encourage greater success. Also, keep a sense of humor. When you laugh-even when something goes wrong-you relieve tension and brighten your mood. * play chess and solve chess puzzles. If you want to play with me, write me, I will be very happy!

Ever since then, I've tried so many different strategies to boost my mental health, but unfortunately, they either didn't work at all, or only had a short-term effect. As if right now, I feel like I'm experiencing the lowest point in my life and my stress levels have been unmanageable. Funnily, a few months ago I was preparing a job application and decided to go and wash my dishes to take a break, and as I was washing, got some inspiration to make my application better. In fact, from all the household chores, I find washing dishes the most enjoyable. Dunno why... I am also a hugger. The pandemic has been tough cuz I very rarely hug right now, but I think it is really necessary to hug and squeeze those hormones into people's system. And it feels so nice! I try not to over-stress when stressful events such an exam are approaching. I try always to view them as a challenge and always do my best and focus on the things that I did well and less on what didn't work. That helps me relieve stress a lot. Finally, I get good quality sleep and that helps a lot to clear my mind and get through my day as smoothly as possible. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it!

It depresses me how few people realize meditation, while seemingly harmless, actually invites spirits into your life. The harmless part is why you don't realize what you've done. Everything else though, sounds good (well, actually, washing dishes is something I can't do due to trauma and will have to work that out in therapy...)! I'll just replace meditation for prayer and bible reading. Posture seems hard for me, though... Definitely gonna hug my plushie more, now!

Halfway through this I was reminded of how today during art class which usually is a place where I can keep calm but today I was in the middle of it just listening to the teacher talk and all of a sudden my heart was pounding and my thought were just racing and I was shaking not enough for people to notice though and I didn’t know what to do then like I was sitting in the middle of the class listening to the teacher talk like I had no idea what to do and what was happening because that has never happened to me before

Nice video. One more suggestion . In life there are only 2 problems-mind and the body. Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15-20 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down on the bed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. With practice the mind will relax. Keep a reminder to observe your breath sensations throughout the day and night anywhere -anytime-- before sleep, at work, at home, when travelling etc with eyes open or closed. One more tip is to sit on a chair without moving, be still and observe your breath for a few minutes. Stillness reduces thoughts and brings quick relief. Like me make breath observing a lifetime habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

I'm really sorry man. I know the exact state that your in. It feels like eternity and it's absolutely terrifying. But in order to overcome your toxic relationship with anxiety, it's best to actually just sit with it and accept it saying, "Even though I am anxious, I fully accept this feeling." I know it's really difficult but once you do this everyday from time to time, your anxiety levels will gradually decrease. I know personally, that I've tried everything to get rid of my severe anxiety because I was so desperate to get rid of the uneasy feeling so maybe you feel the same way. I've tried slowing my breathing down but even that I couldn't focus on because I had so many racing thoughts. I've tried yoga for 30 days as well and it can be helpful in that moment, but I still feel the same after because it only releases tension. But I've been trying to work with my anxiety a little bit everyday and I believe this to be a bit helpful so far. So, if you feel lost in a never ending spiraling hole, I would try to accept your anxiety and just let it do what it needs to do. Remind yourself that anxiety is only a feeling and nothing more. Just a feeling that can cause no absolute harm. Look at all the times you've been in this state and you still managed to survive. That proves how much of a strong and brave person you truly are. So, in the end, that means you are cable of overcoming anxiety and things will get better for you here on out. I wish you all the best dear friend ❤️
