“Pomegranate juice” make sure to check the sugar content of any fruit juices, you are better off consuming it straight from the source instead of looking for a “processed juice” in the store.. Sugar is the root cause of most health ailments. Also, always check the glycemic index of foods, some things that people tell you are healthy actually cause you to store fat via insulin like most fructose found in fruits for example.

@Morese56 Жыл бұрын
Oatmeal and milk both contain sugars and are carbs that will definitely put on weight that you don’t want and will raise your insulin levels that will take you down that road to becoming diabetic. Eggs are great but adding beans are also are high in glucose! The key is not to flood your body with unwanted sugary carbs. Once in a while is ok but not every day! It’s best not to get into a habit of eating those kind of carbs. Mostly because eating that way again will increase your insulin levels which in turn will increase your hunger. Avoid snacks period! Peace

the road to being healthy starts with you. Slow down the pop and chips and try to cut them out totally. replace with fruit salad as a snack. this worked for me. Got the munchies,,, go grab an orange, not doritos. Pop was way harder to cut out. Thankfully i didn't have the beer problem to overcome. Starting with light excercise. Adding a short walk around the block each day. slowly building that up to a longer walk and one in the morning before i go to work as well. Grab your morning coffee and hike down to the nearest green space. simple stuff goes a long ways if done daily. Yes... you can bump it up with actual workouts. But this is where most of us fail. We do too much and expect too much too fast. Can't keep the vibe going. The #1 key is to get into the habit of doing it. Then bump it up a level.

Excellent , articulate lecture. but things are Not quite as glossy as that.. if only ... 1. eat 2g of Vit C for several months and you are more than likely to produce kidney stones, 2. Salmon is very beneficial , but also is one type of fish that elevates inflammatory markers in arthritis. If you have gout /inflammatory arthritis - stay away from it. 3. Kiwis maybe good for sleep and fibre, but also are known strong cross allergens. If you have allergies of any king - avoid , besides eating any fruit before going to bed elevates your blood sugar and makes you fat 4. Blueberries are overhyped, for a turbo effect try berries that bleed dark purple e.g. Black currant , Aronia ( choke berry ), blackberries and Billberries. 5. Add red peppers and radish. Eating "everything" in moderation is normally a sensible approach.. n.B. In the West we are told to eat 7-10 kinds of fruit and veg every day , In Japan the science says eat 36 kinds of food ( incl spice ) every day to cover the full spectrum of vitamin and micro-elements.

Good scoop, thanks! An observation; while pomegranate certainly has several health benefits, it is of concern to diabetics or pre-diabetics . It has 26 total carbs per cup (20 net carbs) and so will certainly elevate a person’s blood glucose and insulin. Twenty-six is quite a bit, considering typical guidance for diabetics/pre-diabetics is between 20-50 grams, with better results at lower levels.
