Yes women have a choice in U.S to have abortions, don't know why your mad.? So many abortions in statistics in u.s rising though. Wouldn't hurt save a few. There is Long list for baby adoptions so they won't be unwanted. Foster kids come from messed up family situations that's on the parents..not the pro life persons fault. lack responsibility of parents. think these guys in front of clinics get too extreme though at times. But we're talking about a human being here too. Survivors of abortions all say they are so glad to have lived.. Let them advocate save a few, its not a bad thing, It selfish at times just want our view only and but you still have your right to choose and did. He is an advocate for human life and you advocate for veganism rights just let it be then.

Thank you Carolyn for "getting it" and therefore being triggered by it and dealing with all that. The individuals who hang in front of these places acting like they are better than anyone are so, so ignorant. It was indeed upsetting for you, but that didn't stop you from giving them a piece of your mind, you go. We need more people to stand up for what is right even if it causes them to be triggered, being triggered is a indicator that you care, you get it and you are not putting up with any of it.

I don't have a rig right now but my late husband and I would run a hose (desiginated for this use) thru a window and open the trap on the toilet and flush it with fresh water to clean it out. It's a handy trick if you have hook ups or are at a dump station with a water faucet. It really helped to clean everything out and stay fresher.

@doloresreynolds8145
@doloresreynolds8145 2 жыл бұрын
@@ftkinsella I believe that no one favors abortion. Everyone - especially women - are against the idea. It is when having a child is an even worse option (and there are cases where this is so, especially for the child), for whatever reason, that women must be allowed the freedom to assess their own circumstances and ability to provide for a child (emotionally, physically and financially), and sometimes conclude that they must end the pregnancy. It is always preferable to find and use a safe method of birth control, so that said situation does not happen. However, even the best planned birth control fails sometimes. (Many women on ‘the pill’ forget or were never told that antibiotics nullify the pill’s protection from pregnancy, and that you still won’t be ‘safe’ until a couple of weeks after ending the round of antibiotics. I have known a number of women who have had this happen.)
@carolynlasher8896
@carolynlasher8896 2 жыл бұрын
@@ftkinsella Exactly! It's the women that have the children, it takes a toll on the body long after the birth, then men want your body to be perfect again. Most of the time women do the largest part of caring for them, keeping up with the house, shopping, cooking, daycare and working. Doesn't sound 50/50 to me. So it should be the womens choice on having a baby, especially if you don't want all the risk of taking birth control!! If you eat meat you are eating something that was slaughtered. Do you also believe there should not be a death penalty for the most horrific crimes? BTW thanks for braving a vasectomy. 😊
@jimhike6620
@jimhike6620 2 жыл бұрын
@@carolynlasher8896 women have been spewing this crap about the lions share of the work around the house for years. You manage a carrier, the kids the house. Come on men have been doing that for ever. Men work more hours normally do the heavy work in the yard when it's hot or cold or snowing or raining. Most men help in the house as well.. while almost all the appliances are automatic these days anyone with very little effort can do laundry. Or dishes. Meals are pre maid now days not many people cook from scratch. You turn a dial and the stove oven heats up most meals are made in 30 min or less or pop in the oven and forget it for 1 hour or less. I'm not saying ban abortion I'm saying make it a decision and financial burden on the couple that made the baby. Don't use our tax dollars for your elective surgery. And abstinence is free and 100% effective Carolyn. Also plenty of mothers get back in shape shortly after they have the baby. It's not impossible it's just not a priority. It's not a priority for men or women weather they have a kid or not. And you can choose to never have a baby. There are plenty of men that don't want children you can get with. Men aren't the enemy in this battle just have a different opinion. Honor the man's rights it's his child as well. Also the babies right to life. Also a man getting a vasectomy doesn't insure his wife will not get pregnant. Her ability to honor her commitment determines that. And with 80% of devorce filed by a woman doesn't sound like many women can't honor a commitment.

And I belong to an online progressive group. Hopefully now that Covid is letting up, we will have live meetings. Bless your heart for trying to talk to the protestors. Any anti-protesting is not wasted. There are volunteer escorts to enter the women's center. Mostly I spend my time and get my joy from my daughter and grandsons. I work remotely from home, so I am insulated and choose isolation at times, frankly. There is a large Somalian refugee population, surprisingly, and there are community gardens all over the city - I joined one The first summer I was here, and it was great getting to know the people. About half of the gardeners were Somalian. Such joyful and gentle people. I wish I'd seen you while you were here! Oh, and Minnesota is pretty great after you drive past the barns and driveways with the huge "T...." signs. I still don't get it. Most of the people I've run into here are friendly, or at least polite. Anyway, thanks for reminding me I got to get out of here! My grandsons are in fifth grade next year, and she and her husband don't want the boys to go to junior high and beyond in this atmosphere - the guns and football and tough guy culture. I live in MN about 100 miles northwest of Fargo. I was hoping you'd find Skull lake because I've never heard of it. I'm a pretty lonely liberal as you can imagine from the signs you've seen and the people you encountered in Fargo. However, I'm very proud of the 3 liberal kids I've raised. Much to my exspouses' consternation!!😊

Funny! I was raised by conservative parents, but have always been very liberal. My dad once asked ‘who taught you to think like this?’ I replied: ‘You did. You taught me to care about other people and their quality of life, and how to help those who need it.’ He shook his head, but couldn’t argue….

I am also nearby and a lonely liberal. Those old fools outside the women's clinic were trying to shame people who were 95% going in there for non-abortion reasons. When he followed you, it was an intimidation tactic. Rest assured they are not prolife, they are probirth. Once you have the kid, crickets on the prairie.

Speaking of the hypocrisy, I had a friend tell me today that he was upset because one of our favorite music venues won’t let him in because he isn’t vaccinated. He said, “I thought I lived in a democracy!” To which I replied, “You do. So do we. Having a democracy means you don’t always win or get your way. If you did, it would be more like communism.” I’m not naive. I made no difference in his ideals. But I didn’t hide my feelings either. Carolyn, may I suggest a good book for you to read? “Dance of the Dissident Daughter” by Sue Monk Kidd. So liberating.

You know me Carolyn you’re certainly preaching to the choir here. One of my first jobs was working for women’s clinic I started off as security and work my way up to a healthcare worker providing services of all kinds and assisting doctors. In the early 1970s in San Diego we had women coming from all over the United States. The thing of it is it’s more than just a right not to have a child, it’s our right not to have to carry through with a pregnancy. Its our right to freely enjoy sex and sexuality without feeling as though the act of getting pregnant is somehow a punishment or consequences. Men have never had to endure the feeling of unwanted pregnancy and had to face the choice or no choice! What those protesters do , and I have been assaulted verbally abused threatened in my home and bomb threats at my daughters daycare …is legalized harassment and it shouldn’t be. The fact that you’re triggered as of no surprise to me I was triggered along with you as I watched it. And you’re right those that I’ve tried to talk to you and reason with are not reasonable because they’re standing on principles that are not even founded in fact. Loved every part of this video stay safe 💞✌🏽

Yes Carol I know we've had a few discussions about this. I'm just so sickened that we're still having to defend this right in 2021. And I think the political and social climate is keeping me hyper sensitive to women's rights issues. AND it seems harassment and bullying of women is getting worse too. It's a scary time for us all. Hugs to you my friend

I lived in Fargo for 7 years. My son still has family between there and Bismark. Add Edit. To add to my comment. I was adopted and while I was living in Fargo I was part of an adoptees rights organization that helped in adoption searches, and held meetings at my home. Some of the most damaged people I've met are birth parents (both sexes), and adopted children. Add Edit. They never harass the fathers.

Be sure to see Lake of the Clouds in the porcupine mountains, the beautiful boat ride in Munising to see the cliffs, In Newberry see Oswald’s Bear Farm where he raises bears the DNR brings him as rescues. Then Tahquamenon Falls, on to Paradise to the Whitefish Point Light House and ship wreck museum, the Indian Cemetary sat the top of the hill in Brimley, then to Soo Locks in Sault Ste Marie. If you go into the lower peninsula, be sure to visit Mackinaw Island at the Mackinaw Bridge. You will truly enjoy this area. It is wonderful and I’d love to have you see it.

@@CarolynsRVLife It’s wrong to kill a life that was started. It has been scientifically, proven that there is a spark of life at the time of conception, and this is not some thing that a man or a woman can do. If abortion was legal When I was conceived, I’m pretty sure my mother would’ve had an abortion. I pretty much do feel like an incomplete abortion. The truth is that life is supposed to be precious. Isn’t your life precious? Why is somebody else’s life less precious than yours?

... Abortions are legal in Israel, and may be approved upon request. Last year, 97% of the 22,000 request for induced abortions in Israel were granted. Last year Conservative Congressmen and women gave $3,800,000,000.00 in US taxpayer funds to Israel in foreign aid. I have never seen folks standing on street corners protesting about this. Wow. D. Lenaghen, that's exactly what I mean. How can you live when you're so politically obsessed? I served in the military under the Reagan Administration in retrospect it was bad. Rather counter to American values. At the time none of my squad really noticed. We did our jobs and that's it. Mine was fixing $30 million aircraft. And indeed I was paid by tax dollars. So I suppose my military service was government "welfare". Don't work up spittal for my taxpayer exploitation, I risked my ass every night on a flight deck and become a little testy when anyone's military service gets disrespected by comparing it to some disgruntled sidewalk Taliban. If you're saying people who protest women's health clinics are on some sort of government assistance which allows them not to have to "work" and leaves them the free time, well that figures. My check from Uncle Sam didn't motivate me to protest. Maybe those people who have that option could discover some inner creativity and put their time to better, more productive use.

My generation fought for the right for women to have safe abortions. I can't believe that we are so very close to losing all safe places for women to have abortions. No one I know who was faced with having to make this decision ever took it lightly. Your argument that these right to lifers never have an answer for what about the children who are not wanted and then abused and tortured to death. They never have a solution to the problems of child abuse and I don't see any of them stepping up to take unwanted children in. My blood boils every time I see these right to lifers picketing. I applaud you for wading into them I just wish you had filmed some of that. Good for you for speaking up!

Those rest areas off interstate 94 near Fargo and most of MN have bathroons and sodapop machines and snack machines. When people want full meals and other items they will take an exit into a town.
