Marinating chicken in milk, buttermilk, or yoghurt is really good. It makes the chicken very tender and juicy. For Southern fried chicken you marinate it overnight in buttermilk for example.

I think the reason they had the man not know Ned from Robert was to show that this guy doesn’t know these people. So when he perfectly describes the mountain, Ned believes him. Chicken and milk is obviously foreshadowing Sansa‘s arc. Chicken is linked to stepping out of the bounds of respected society as Tyrion did when he ate two and a half chicken with Tysha. Eat chicken, embrace life! Milk on the other hand stands for conformity, drinking the Kool Milk of the Poppy as Sansa does at this point of the story. Food analogies are the key to A Song of Ice an Fire and this is the end of my Dornish Egg take.

For some reason, this chapter was real fun! And Ned, finally!!!! And the chicken and milk reminds me of a scene from the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, where the protagonist does just that, I always loved that scene. But I also like pineapple on pizza, so... Orange - porridge - door hinge (you did not just remind me of "the rusted iron hinge"...).

Book Sansa literally forgetting her sister a few chapters from now is something so significant. Either it shows she is callous to the point of being not very Stark in her familial loyalty, or it's a GRRM oversight. I don't think Arya will see her again in the books, but in the show I hope they don't do watered down bullshit and tiptoe like they did a little with the see saw of liking then bitching out Jon. Sansa has been through a lot, she's a very different character, but she needs to stop being battered and finish her development soon. I worry it won't actually "go" anywhere, she has the potential to be the female Littlefinger or the Toad of Dorne come again, instead of being a cool and pensive lady she needs to assert herself, because if it doesn't happen soon she will literally just be a waif and we'll wonder what the fuss was about.
