yes! like my boyfriend (without an ed) usually gets the materials while shopping for one specific type of breakfast for the week because it is easier to prepare before his early morning shift :) the thing about variety is that sometimes you vary things by having the same thing the next day instead of changing it up xxx

Can you do a video about the therapy and treatment you've had for your anorexia - all your videos are about the weight restoration and food side of things but nothing about the mental side of recovery- like if you've had CBT or DBT or ECBT or family therapy etc and what has helped you. Or what input and support you have from you CMHT ? There's so much more to recovery than just the weight gain - I saw you read Tabitha Farrar's book when you were in Cyprus.

I had the exact same scare a month ago with my back- funnily enough after lots of eating well (or at least better) as soon as the pain lessened/stopped, I started wondering whether I was just overeacting, that I'm not 'that ill' etc... Just something for you to look out for. But honestly, eating more really does open up new avenues for you. It's not even that I have more strength or whatever- your head is clearer and you take on more opportunities than you expect. By opportunities I mean things as small as conversations with friends and insights you never really thought you would encounter too. Not much at first, granted, but it helps to know you probabluy wouldn't have done the same things if you remain within your illness. I still get shit ass body image (ahahah), but the more you eat and the more time passes, the less space and time that occupies. You have so much fricken potential and with all the stuff you're doing even just now, therefore I am more than certain you'll be unstoppable !

Hey Elzani, Incredible! I'm very much glad that so far your recovery is going well. I know, yes you could do better but your doing it, I see it and I hear it. I too, struggle all the time when getting to a point where everything is just at platue. It's hard to push forward but I know I don't need to make it hard. There is more to life than my eating disorder, I hope there is, well, you showed me that. I always been very proud of you...for your accomplishments, attempts and efforts. It helps me feel like I'm not crazy, alone, and so scared. You have this vibe about you that brings everything to light. You bring out the best in me, truly. I love that your raw, vulnerable and real on here. Your truly loveable, inspirational, incredible, talented, hilarious, beautiful, intelligent and soooooo caring. I'm so lucky and happy to make come across your channel when I did. I'm also not upset about you not filming lately, you do you, live life, experience more...it's what life is all about isn't it?! And I'm sorry that it's been tough with your Mom's radiation situation but I'm really glad you have been there for her and of course you would/will. Well, keep it up Elzani, yes there will be harder days but there will be incredible days too...yes! It's definitely okay to have more...cereal, chocolate, cake, Chinese food, bread, cheese..etc..(I got to tell myself this as well). I have been struggling a bit but seeing and hearing you speak about everything (struggles and recovery wins..) opens my eyes again/more...to see the bigger picture, live life more, to becoming the better version of yourself, to "go for it," love that saying. Thank you Elzani 🖤🦋 🕊️👑🍎🍓🥜🥪🍕🥣🥡🍨🍰🍫🍪☕🍵🏠🌄🏖️🎸🎶🎥🥊📚💙☮️🐈🐕👍💪🧠💞 P.s. I love all the videos you post, what I eat in a day(fdoe), vlogs, challenges..keep doing them all and if you have something else in mind try it!

Elzani, you're truly a diamond on this planet. I am very fortunate to have not suffered from an eating disorder, so it might seem somewhat "weird" that I find hope and relate to your videos but I do..for clarity, I'm a 24 year old drug addict/alcoholic in recovery , and I too get blindsided by what my body is telling me, even when it's blatantly screaming at me "nope, nope, please just NO!". It's so incredibly hard, and I feel like this must be of a similar plight to those struggling with EDs, or any mental illness for that matter. In particular, what you spoke about becoming the person that YOU want to be, and it comes down to you vs. you, truly struck a chord. Thank you for your openness and honesty. You're a very cool human! And in terms of what videos to do, I'd just say do what ever the frick you want to do because the people who support you will always be here for you..not to speak on behalf of your "audience" of course but I don't doubt that everyone wants the absolute best for you. If you're enjoying the content you're putting out, that shows. Take care of yourself angel

You can totally fix a winged scapula with targeted gentle exercises! It's not permanent at all. My husband is a PT/Physio, and we've talked a ton about this. I empathise with you on so much of this. I get really bad anxiety and have food issues and depression. The way you're feeling now, a bit flat and exhausted, is pretty normal when you have some constant pain and you have plateaued a bit with your progress - this is fine! Having a level patch in recovery is perfectly fine, it is NOT a setback. It will continue to be hard because you are fighting you own brain, it's a constant battle. I think you would benefit from chatting to a counsellor whether in person or by phone or online. Having someone to bounce ideas off, to reinforce the positive changes you're implementing, and to help you with strategies for challenges. I think at some point you will be able to look back at these videos and see some of the patterns we can see; you keep having an 'all or nothing' approach to recovery and saying "this time it will be" when really recovery is not linear. You keep saying "I'll definitely have more of this" and you never seem to repeat any of the foods you say that for. Not that you have to show us anything, but it feels like you're deceiving yourself a little. It's absolutely fine to enjoy a meal and leave it at that. You should feel proud, you are making progress against this insidious disease. All progress is good. Keep moving forward xo

Yesss! I’ve been waiting for that attitude! I’m 34 and have had very severe arthritis since I was 6y/o - most of it being in the spine. I’ve jokingly named the arthritis beast “the Terminator” because it feels like the terminator is gripping my joints. Naming it somehow gives me power over it and seems like something more tangible to fight. I’m so sorry you are having such pain, Elzani! It hurts to know you are suffering, but I’m also so proud of you for how you have managed to keep your equilibrium! Seriously, you are incredible! Keep fighting those beasties and remember how strong you really are. Love you so much, girl 🤗😘💨

You're an inspiration. Absolutely, when the mind thinks of food we must give in to it. It's frightening when it feels like the hunger won't stop, like it can't be quelled. You sound as if you've been reading Tabitha Farrar's books... I find her so helpful. Good luck with your continued recovery and thanks for the thought-provoking videos! Eating out in cafés for breakfast and lunch was something which has been really helpful for me in recovery so far, also just choosing the most calorific menu option and just having it presented to me - it takes away some of the dithering and you can just get on with the business of eating it!! Take care, best to you and your family.

Not sure if you have a menstrual cycle but sounds like the 'all in' recovery from hypothalamic amenorrhea would be helpful. Basically says about eating anytime hungry or thinking about food to help regulate hormones and hunger cues. People with ed history often seem to need many thousands of calories of food a day to help restore their bodily functions.

Hey Elzani, I also was at a point in my recovery when I felt really week, and I can tell you that it passes with the more food you eat. I am not recommending this now but once you have gained some more weight you may be able to get strong!! Just imagine that, you will be able to lift weights and swim like you have always wanted again. It may seem like you are tired now, but for me it passed after about a couple of months and I already started feeling stronger in my body (I mean physically not a better body perception) good luckkkkkk

I continued eating lots of cakes and more then just a normal amount, of course lots of other foods too. My body wanted it. I did this with a lot of fear foods. I feel you should allow yourself half or a whole of your favorite cake, or even a whole pan of brownies!! Do you accept this challenge elzani. I know you can do it! I think vlogs that are not focused on food would be so great! You can show food, but just include it as a casual thing. I think food challenges can be fun, but make sure you're focusing on eating enough and eating consistently. Also, I don't know if you see any professionals, but a nutritionist could help so much! In the USA, outpatient treatment usually includes a primary care doctor, nutritionist, therapist, and psychiatrist. :) That is what I've been told by my team, at least! Also I love sit down videos where you just chat!

By staying at the same level, you leave the door open to anorexia and eventually it will creep back in, but it shows you're fighting as you are acknowledging that your healthy side wants more! Elzani....at 8:25... so, WHO IS the person you really want to be? ❤️ that is the real true underlying root of everything. the ED's become a coping mechanism to deal with the real unspoken anxieties about life, about ourselves that we cannot face and discuss. Discussing what real life fears you have will be a huge step forward. Discussing fears of not being good enough, fears of inadequacy, fears of becoming independent, fears of growing up, fears of not being as good as others, or maybe it is certain loved ones in your life that trigger your ed behavoiurs, example, when someone says something that HURTS your feelings, or made you feel bad thoughts about yourself, hurting your self confidence, etc. that will be the best therapy, discussing your NON FOOD thoughts. it's okay, not everybody is made the same, God made us all different, some of us are not as strong as others and that is okay. i see you as a super smart girl...and fear may be holding you back, as it often does for many of us ladies, self confidence is often the underlying problem...worrying about not being successful enough, or productive enough, or good enough for others, etc. what if we just admit what our fears are... it's okay...to talk about what holds us back. mental blocks that prevent us from pursuing a job or school, or things we think we SHOULD be doing, but can't because of anxiety. we have to face those SHOULDS that run through our heads too much...and have to let go of all those SHOULDS sometimes. take care dear Elzani. you are sweet and smart and loved by many.💕💕😘✨
