Awsome information. Question on the type of vacuum line you are using ?? I'm in the process of replacing all the brittle lines

Hello Greg. I like to use 11731259996. Check FCP Euro website. Usually get through them.

Thank you so much, this answered so many questions already :) One question I still have: Can you reach the line on the bypass actuator / wastegate (you operate it at 3:13) from above or do you need to get under the car? As far as i can see its sufficient to remove airbox and cabin filter to reach everything, right?
@R3llim876 жыл бұрын
firebladeflow kind of. There is a small clip holding the line that's tough. Honestly get ramps, and pull the bottom tray if your worried, it is much easier that way.

so u have to check manually!? the diagnostics inpa won't show if there is leak in any of those lines?
@R3llim876 жыл бұрын
Martin its not good enough to do that, as much of this is vaccum over mechanical, no sensors or electronic parts. It can give you good guesses by using boost sensors to see what pressure reaches, and determine if a stage isn't working right.

@@mitchelwilson7369 did you test EL valves, looked at vac line routings, made sure no cracks in the vac accumulator and no other leaks. And of course rocked system vacuum and made sure your vac pump produces 25-29 inHg of vacuum?

The el valve under the boost solenoids?
@alphadevyat2 жыл бұрын
@@mitchelwilson7369 there are three: under the pressure converter is one for compressor bypass, under the intake manifold for motor mounts and for NA spec cars one in front on top of the EGR cooler for the cooler bypass

@@pttech57 thanks Greg. Is there anything we should add to the newer videos that this old video has? Thank you.

This one is more specific to the X5 and goes over the disconnecting the electrical connectors, which was kicking my butt. Between this and the others you did, I was able to figure it out. Thanks much

Thanks Milko. That video is quite old. Had to use an old camera at that time that I did not care to get dirty. We should have a much better professional video coming on the vacuum system, etc. Please check our newest videos and you will be much happier with the quality and better lighting.
