I pulled my left groin on the training, i felt the pain even while walking. I couldnt lift my leg up while lying in bed, so i thought that my injury was bad.. I end up doing these workouts every day for a week and pain dissapeared, so 10 days after injury i came back to training and i was healed 😍 thank you

I strained my groin almost a week ago while jogging. I iced it the first day and it didn't feel bad so the next day I decided I would walk. After about a mile and not feeling any pain, I decided a slow jog would be okay.... felt it on the first step! Since then I've been icing it daily and putting compression on it, along with rest. That's been 5 days now and I've been skimming through KZbin videos looking for advice on ways to speed up recovery time. At 62 I don't "bounce back" the way I used too! This is definitely the best video I've seen! It's has to be the most "complete" presentation I've seen, with diagnosis, treatment, stretching, and exercises to address ways to prevent future strains. In particular the massage method you demonstrated, started lessening the pain within minutes! Big thank you!

This was super helpful. I appreciate videos that include ways to PREVENT getting the injury again (aka strengthening). Many videos just focus on healing, but not preventing the tear again. Thanks! Everything I've ever torn thus far has been a muscle that I've consistently neglected to strengthen.

The stretch Bob does at 9:30 (on one knee with the other leg stretched out and he turns his foot to 3 different positions) can also work wonders for hemorrhoid problems and incontinence. I do it standing beside my bed, place the stretched out leg on the bed and hold onto a chair for balance.

That's the one! That 2nd excercise is how I discovered that my left adductor has not one iota of strength. (Worked out for 30+ years, injury kept me inactive for almost a year) Currently, this mucsle is very slow to improve. It responds to gentle exercises like calisthenics but makes like an ostrich when I want to push myself with even the smallest of squats. Anyway, Bob & Brad, your videos are in heavy rotation on my KZbin Recovery so I look forward to doing what I can with this one.

I got my groin pain preparing for the movers. No signs the night before. Woke up the next day in pain and walking in a "hobbling" way. Had to rest, ice, and Aleve and Advil. Glad I waited to start home therapy. New place has stairs so it was difficult getting up and down. I am a 67 yr old female. You get scared you will never get better (fear of getting old overnight). By waiting, I am able to use one foot per stair instead of two feet per stair. Thanks for the exercises, refuse to give in to a cane. Great video, I had a groin pull two years ago, and its still bugs me. I had a long break and P.T - Are there any of these exercises you would recommend before practice? Or is this all "after"

I did a hip abductor exercise at the gym without stretching my legs and I also placed a heavy weight initially. BAD IDEA. I had not exercised my abductors in a long while and suddenly stretching those muscles with a heavy weight did not cope well. I didn't feel anything the first day, but the second day hit me like a truck in the morning. Now, I have degree 2 groin pulls in both legs. I can barely even walk. But I've been rubbing those fibers and doing very light stretches and hopefully this will help. Usually i have groin stretches disappear within 2-3 days after my climactic pain days

Fyx5010 The exact same thing happened to me. Except I was already warmed up/ completed my leg workout. First day perfectly fine. Second I could barely walk.

I did that too expect it inflamed my one testicle which I could barely walk with. Got the inflammation down with antibiotics then recovered still hurt a little. Did the same thing next leg day but when a little easier now I have pain In both my testicles 😂

I've had groin pain for about 5 years now. Gone to physical therapy and did pelvic floor training which helped, but it comes back. I think I must have tore something while on a 220 mile race relay years back. Ever since then it is off and on pain and when I do a good run or cycle it gets agitated again. It sometimes scares me that it is a tumor or hernia but docs said it can't be a tumor bc it would have advanced by now and my blood work, obgyn tests, and feeling around tests are normal.
