This is the kind of content that I had always hoped to get when I started supporting Easy Allies from day1. There really isn't anyone that surprises every single week like Kyle in this industry, I've enjoyed mostly everything you did during the last years but I really missed this kind of content.
@danlet3 жыл бұрын
Kyle, tossing and turning in bed, losing sleep: “... Mostly? Mostly?!?!” He correlates the evaluation of his content with that of a videogame receiving an 8.8/10, a similar phenomenon with a similar flavor of torture. Kyle then forgoes sleep entirely, spends his dwindling energy on conceiving a new series, growling to himself, “Wait ‘til they getta loada this!” The next day he publishes the first episode of his new series “Cuz Seven Ate-Point-Ate Nine” to much critical chagrin.

Thank god he left them so we can see actual good content rather then his talent being wasted on lazy group streams.
@mrshmuga93 жыл бұрын
@@leonidas6682 It’s not like he couldn’t have made this content too, right? I mean he used to host the GT podcast and write weekly shows with skits at GT.
@leonidas66823 жыл бұрын
@@mrshmuga9 I remember one thing that happened when he was still there. He was doing a few popular single let's play streams a week. They were very popular. And then he made a comment just before he left that he no longer can do them because they as a group decided that will focus on doing more group streams and no single person streams. Who knows why but I would assume that a lot of ppl like me only really cared for Kyles personality and a few of them for salty he was very popular so needed to have more group streams to cover their own lack of entertaining personas. Best of GT before easy allies was. Final Bosman. First 15 and any stream or scetch that had Bosman in it with Damiani and Huber hype was great. Huber syndrome sucked in easy allies era. And easy allies stopped putting the quality effort into their content. Just streamed. I remember once clickihg on a video and it was that longer haired alternative type guy that's a bit fruity californian playing the keyboard musical instrument in a front yard.l for no reasons. That's when I was like yeah nah.. this gone downhill. Was a lot of things with Brandon making Lego I think or talking about Disney stuff. Easy allies was just weird. They were getting so much patreon money they were really pissing it always just doing random lazy things. Playing board games and stuff

working at an Activision-owned Call of Duty development studio was rouuuuugh. i'm under NDA until the day i die, but suffice to say, things are soooo much more tumultuous on the inside than people realize. setting aside crunch and other poor work conditions (hey how about some game dev unions), we worked in fear that at any minute our projects would get canned (which happened twice in the span of 7 months), or that it would be taken away and given to a different studio. it is insulting that while a MAJORITY of ATVI employees are contract/temp workers, upper management is receiving multi-million dollar bonuses on top of their extremely high salaries. the AAA game industry is unsustainable.

The Sly Cooper 4 mention brought back the memory of how I remember thinking it had done well the month it launched in the US. It actually made it onto the NPD chart that month, but it was right at the time where the industry was starting to shift in such a way that it didn't even matter if your game managed to chart, it wasn't enough to keep the series going. Heck if you look up that same NPD chart for Feb 2013 it's an interesting oddity to look back on in general. Fire Emblem Awakening also launched that same month and didn't chart, but performed in a way that it's the first title people say really hit it off with the Western audience. And then at the top of that chart is Dead Space 3, the Dead Space people point to as one of those games responsible for ending the franchise it came from commercially.
