I just finished doing this workout and I have to tell you how much I appreciate you throwing a new basic workout in the rotation. TMI, I’ve just started menopause and one of the symptoms I have are leg cramps. Some days the other workouts are tough with the cramps but the basic worked great. Pre-menopause, leg cramps weren’t an issue with the other step workouts. I’m more of a strength training person so finding some cardio, I enjoy, stick with and can do is a real treat. I appreciate the variety and effort you put into all of your workouts! Thank you!

Just did this for the third time with a riser, and boy, I can tell I've come a long way! This is the perfect class for those who want to some "riser" experience that feel confident as a Beginner! I guess this means it’s story time! The old legend of the step police… As you said, originally, he was just that; a legend. The step police was nothing but a mere joke to remind you to let loose and have fun. But one Saturday morning, the choreo was intricate and the chat was on FIRE and one woman, alone in her basement, was left to hold her focus and keep the show coming. But then, before she knew it, THE STEP POLICE ARRIVED!!! 🚨THIS IS THE STEP POLICE🚨 here to remind you: NO CHATTING IN THE FINAL CHOREO!! 👮♀️👮♀️ And for the first time in steo history, the chat was SILENT until the cool down. The step police is the hero we all need some days. Thanks for a great step class Chris!!

I have been doing step with you for about a year now and after never having done it before I feel I am probably at intermediate just starting advanced level now but absolutely LOVED this basic step! Put the risers on for the first time in ages and sweated so much… 250+ calories burnt!!

Hello Chris! I’m back at it again… dr says I have to lower the cholesterol by doing 10 minutes 3x a week to start. So far it’s been 1 week and I’ll do this for 3 weeks and then move on to another. This felt amazing! Sadly I’ve had to take some time off from working out because I somehow managed to injure my hip/groin area and didn’t want to risk making it worse. I could barely walk for a couple days… the most embarrassing thing is I somehow managed to injure myself while I was sleeping 🤔… pure talent there🙄. Anyway, I finally felt up for a small workout today so I started with my favorite thing, step with Chris! It did wonders for my mood and I felt great afterwards! I followed up with Chris’s older stretch for after step and my hip feels looser than it has for days! I’ll continue to ease myself back into working out, but it feels so good to move again! 😻

Today was one of those days you talked about. Just not feeling it. However I said to myself do something so I chose this beginner step. I swear sometimes I feel like the repetitive beginner step makes me sweat more than intermediate! Enjoyed it and felt great knowing I got myself moving.
