I love the honesty in this video. First time I tried making the liquid dough paratha it turned into a pancake. As he said... It takes so long to wait for it to cook. Traditional is better!

Thank you Ranveer. That liquid parantha is/was being made for hundreds of years in South Indian families with different names in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayali households. Absolutely agree with you, calling it Parantha is really a bettrayal of Parantha eaters!

Ohh my God., at last some body practically showed the fact. I was wondering while scrolling the KZbin how everyone is happily making the liquid paratha or chapati or roti while I could not. Really it is time consuming., and the result is not so good. My son told me not to try such things seeing the chipchipa peeth inside the hot roti which is not good for digestion also. Ranveer thank you very much for this demo which made me feel that I am not alone to feel the discomfort with this liquid dough.

Thanks for this experiment Chef Ranveer. For anyone who understands the science of flour and familiar with the taste and texture of paratha, chapati, roti, naan - you know already that the dough needs to be kneaded. I was tempted to try the No-knead recipe, but knew the texture would be like a pancake. Kneading takes time and work. Nothing good comes easy.

It is about following trends blindly and brainwashing others similarly (trying to convince others that you are doing something genuine). As Chef Ranveer said, the "liquid paratha" is NOT a paratha to begin with. For starters, how about being honest about that - rather than pretending that it is a "paratha"...because, hey..who will bother to verify? Also the liquid paratha remains uncooked because it is liquid. Will any of these liquid paratha chefs come clean on that?

I have arthritis and I think very few people will understand the difficulty and pain due to it. Even if on somedays I feel more energetic and less or no pain, and do such tasks, i feel the pain later. Or I get so tired afterwards that it’s unexplainable. Ker toh lete ho, phir bhukatna khud ko hee hai. On the other hand, some people have huge ass families where everyone doesn’t contribute in house chores. And if you are the one cooking, you cannot not offer or cook for others too. So in that case, the workload increases so much more of you are cooking. There’s no harm in trying to make life easier for yourself. I think the chef doesn’t know the pain of cooking for 10-15 or even more people every single day, as housewives, with no pay, or appreciation, no contribution from others, not being able to say no to it, or with painful illnesses like arthritis. Anyway, my mom and I, both suffering from arthritis, did try this liquid dough and it did not work.

We have been making this since generations as wheat dosa, people have made this into paratha but actually this takes more time to cook. Other thing is, a person eating 2 regular paratha will eat 4 or 5 of these thus increasing cooking time.

Liquid parathas are very good for people who have arthritis in their hands. It saved a lot of pain for people like me.

Original way is always good. The liquid is tasty also for a change. It’s very helpful sometimes when people have Pain in the hand or Arms injured or cut in hands.

Excellent demonstration! I have to say I had to give the new "craze" a try - I was curious. When I started the cooking process - I began to think that perhaps I was missing something in the cooking process as it (the paratha) turned out just like your result. Halfway through the "trial" run, I found myself getting impatient and bored standing around for so long over each "liquid " paratha. I lost interest and ended up dumping some atta a thali and used the rest of the liquid batter to moisten the dough and rolled out a batch of parathas and cooked them without any fuss or delay. The cooking process was a lot faster - that was my experience. I am so glad it wasn't my "technique" that was the problem. love this type of demo. How about doing some oithers? Thanks

I did jowar liquid dough. Got fed up waiting for it to get cooked. Mera gas cylinder khatam hojayega

Absolutely!!! I tried the liquid roti😊knowing fully well what I was going to get was a cheela/poora. Didn't even want to serve it to my husband. I ended up litrrally frying it on the tawa. BUT if you have trouble making dough or rolling a roti due to various reasons then this is the second best thing.

Ranveer, I actually tried this trend. OMG cooking a single paratha is a real pain. Each paratha took around 10 min to cook. Traditional way parathas are the best 👍

We like our paratha .which is right .i tried the one with the liquid as one of the lady says it is atta ka dosa.yes agreed and that you said it takes time yes.but with me as I like to make attached and enjoy making roti
