We're bringing you our take on the Buddha Bowl, and we're packing it full of our Top 7 Foods To Eat Daily, as well as Dr. Michael Greger's Daily Dozen, from NutritionFacts.org. The ingredients in these "One Bowls" can be easily batch-prepped ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator to grab out and piece together throughout the week. Met Dr. Greger, at Veg Fest, NAV 2003, then at a small venue in Oakland at 2004, and finally again (he's so busy) in 2017 at SF Veg Fest where he headlined. I love him and I love your Buddha bowl!

Buddha bowls are my go-to as well! Lately I've been enjoying a "sushi" style one with black rice, sweet potato, asparagus, sauteed kale, spinach and beet greens, tofu, raw shredded beets or carrots, avacado, pickled ginger, sesame/seaweed flake topping and a ume vinegar, soy sauce and miso dressing! It's sooo good! Great job to you both! This looks great!

Soak cashews and rinse and drain, blend with salt, pepper, nutritional yeast all to taste!

Just found your videos. I love the two of you together. At 62 I'm trying to get my husband to give up processed garbage and eat healthy. Hope the Buda bowl helps. BTW, do you soak your quinoa? I've seen where it should be soaked about 6 hours. I have to admit it's fluffy and tasty that way.

It definitely doesn’t hurt to soak and possibly even sprout your grains, beans, seeds, nuts, etc! Something we recently started doing more of!👌

These Buddha bowls look amazing! I just purchased an instant pot and I’m figuring it out, the truth I’m a bit scared of it! Lol!😆Did you cut your potatoes in half before putting them in the instant pot? And did you add any water? Thank you!

Quinoa is NOT a grain. It’s a seed.

Yes! We should have clarified, it is a “pseudo grain.” It is typically lumped into the grain category since it can be used like rice and other grains and has a somewhat similar nutrient profile!

Not entirely true. Although we do advocate eating primarily raw foods, many cooked foods are beneficial as well. Some of the longest lived populations of the world thrive on foods like grains, beans, legumes, and cooked root veggies like potatoes! All blue zones of the world subsist on these foods!
