TL;DR: Miami needs at least one big guy who can play hard D, facilitate and shoot above 30% from 3. basically a Horford/brooke lopez type of guy. Bad news, Miami will have to trade away probably Hierro and / or Bam plus Duncan or Caleb I assume. Hierro wouldnt be a great loss imo because he's always hurt at the end of the season anyway. But Bam, that would be a blow. They are already undersized and tbh, Dame aint helping. It's not all about size, but we saw that against big teams like Celtics last year at least and Nuggets this year, Miami is really struggling. And while they compensated a lot with effort, you cant play above your weight without getting exhausted, and it always showed at the end. In thie ECF and the finals Butler especially was always very tired which imo is why he had multiple off games after playing MVP like before in the first and second round. It's just taxing and if you go against huge guys like Jokic or AG, or Tatum and Horford, Williams, even when you win, your body takes a toll.

Aside from early in his carer when LaMarcus Aldridge, Batum , etc were there that was the only time the Blazers ever had a truly legitimate good team. They made playoffs a solid amount of times ane even conference finals but it was clear they just were never a championship contender. Dame finally realized that. This season there best case would have been a 10th seed play in team with how loaded the west is. As for the best location for him to go It's the Miami Heat. They just lost there starting point guard who was phenomenal in playoffs in Vincent, anf then SG Strus. Dame is exactly what the Heat need to win championship. Big 3 of Dame, Butler, Bam would be favorites to win east and having Dame say against Nuggets changes that series completely having another legitimate superstar as Bam has never been good enough to 2nd option. In terms of other teams mentioned Nets, Clippers ) Clippers make no sense. Nothing really of value to trade and from a standpoint of having shot at championship even with Dame the clippers would not be a championship contender. Kawhi is always hurt and never plays and paul george isnt what he once was and again is always hurt come playoffs. Nets make little sense to me as well from standpoint of having chance at championship. Heat is my guess where he ends up.

I still think the Celtics should offer up Jaylen Brown. Between Brown and the picks they can offer, that's a better package than anything Philly, the Clippers, or Heat can provide. Plus, it saves you torpedoing your future by paying Brown 60 million. And it raises you ceiling because Tatum and Lillard are a much more complementary pairing than Tatum and Brown. On Paper Grant is decent and he's still getting way less money than Dame now (32 mill vs 45 mill) and certainly much less than Dame would make in 2 years if he stays in Portland (around 60 mill). Let that sink in. If Dame stays in Portland he will make 60 million dollars a year. He will get paid more than ONE MILLION Dollars PER WEEK. WEEEEEEK. And Grant will be making half that. If anything, Dame should be open to a pay cut so that Portland can go out shopping for a certfied vet that can win you a ring. Think like, Rondo in 2020. Or Shaq in '06.
