BANANA NUT CHIA TOAST RECIPE
1 slice whole grain toast (I like Ezekiel)
2 tablespoons nut butter
1 tablespoon chia seed
Toast your whole grain bread. Top with nut butter and chia seeds. Enjoy!
Nutrients per recipe: Calories: 380; Total Fat: 19.5g; Saturated Fat: 3.5g; Cholesterol: 0mg; Carbohydrate: 36g; Dietary Fiber: 10.5g; Sugars: 6.8g; Protein: 16.4g
BERRY HEMP SMOOTHIE RECIPE
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1.5 cup hemp milk (or whatever milk you like)
1/4 cup hemp heart seeds
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until thick and creamy. Divide amongst two cups and enjoy.
Makes 2 servings.
Nutrients per serving: Calories: 284; Total Fat: 14.9g; Saturated Fat: 1.8g; Cholesterol: 2mg; Carbohydrate: 25.3g; Dietary Fiber: 6.3g; Sugars: 13.4g; Protein: 14.9g
PEAR + ALMOND OAT BOWL RECIPE
1/3 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup of water
1/4 cup pastured egg whites
1/2 cup chopped pear
A dash of cinnamon
1 tablespoon sliced almonds
1 teaspoon maple syrup (or whatever sweetener you prefer)
Place oats and water in a microwave safe bowl and cook in microwave for 1 minute.
Stir in pastured egg whites, 1/4 cup of chopped pear, and cinnamon. Cook for another minute or until rich and creamy.
Transfer into your favorite serving bowl and top with more cinnamon, the rest of the pear, almonds and maple syrup. Enjoy!
Nutrients per recipe: Calories: 240; Total Fat: 5.9g; Saturated Fat: 0.3g; Cholesterol: 0mg; Carbohydrate: 37.7g; Dietary Fiber: 6g; Sugars: 13.1g; Protein: 11.8g
CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE RECIPE
1/4 cup blanched almond flour
2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Pinch of kosher salt
Optional toppings; greek yogurt and fresh berries
Coat your favorite much with some cooing spray, butter, or coconut oil.
Right into the mug, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, egg and salt. Mix well and microwave for 1-2 minutes or until set through.
Top with some plain greek yogurt and fresh berries. Enjoy!
Nutrients per mug (sans toppings): Calories: 296; Total Fat: 19.5g; Saturated Fat: 2.9g; Cholesterol: 175mg; Carbohydrate: 25.3g; Dietary Fiber: 6.6g; Sugars: 13.1g; Protein: 14.1g
SEMI HOMEMADE HIGH PROTEIN PANCAKE RECIPE
1 cup Bob’s Red Mill High Protein Pancake Mix
3/4 cup of water
1 cup fresh berries (I used blueberries + strawberries)
Heat a large non stick pan with cooking spray or coconut oil. Scoop 1/4 cup of the batter and drop in the pan to create little pancakes.
Sprinkle in your berries and then once you see bubbles forming on the top of your pancake, flip it over and cook for another minute or until set through.
Continue until you have used all of the batter. Serve and enjoy!
Makes 2 servings.
Nutrients per serving (sans the berries): Calories: 255; Total Fat: 2.3g; Saturated Fat: 0.8g; Cholesterol: 15mg; Carbohydrate: 36g; Dietary Fiber: 7.5g; Sugars: 6g; Protein: 22.5g

I never thought of putting chopped fresh pears on my oatmeal, but I’m going to now. I love pears! I do put a little bit (about a tablespoon) of chopped walnuts on it. It keeps me full until lunchtime. You’ve got some great ideas. Thanks.

I’m totally new to clean eating and I have to say I’m really enjoying it. I have tried the porridge recipe this morning with raspberries, blueberries, chia seeds and honey... it was amazing! I made the chocolate mug cake today for breakfast and it was delicious! I might try and multiply the amount by 1.5 since I think it was a bit too small to hold me until lunch. But great recipe! So simple yet healthy and delicious!

Hi Dani! In your smoothie you used a Greek yogurt. I am transitioning into vegetarian/ vegan and cannot do dairy. What would you suggest I substitute the yogurt with? Or just leave it out?

A bit late, but there's a plethora of plant-based yogurts (coconut, almond) or even a spoon or two of flax or chia seeds will do the trick to balance out the sugars from fruit with another macronutrient.

I love your videos and am a fairly new subscriber. The one thing that I notice when you are preparing a dish or introducing a healthy snack you don't recommend a serving size. For instance, I love sweet potatoes and you talk about sweet potatoes quite a bit, what is the serving size? Can I have an entire baked sweet potato?

If you’re allergic to bananas as I am, you can add sliced apples or pears to your toast (I like Ezekiel bread w/butter) and instead of peanut butter, you can use almond butter or whatever nut butter you like, sprinkled with cinnamon. Yum!!! 😋

The yogurt can be subbed for more milk or avocado or frozen banana. And no, the mix I used is not gluten free BUT Bob's does sell a Paleo mix that is gluten free.

I really love your recipes. Only when you said the frozen berries are cheaper than the original berries. By us, it's like 20 times more expensive then frozen veggies🤯. But still love the recipes😁😊🐝🦋🐞🕊🐠🥰

Just the other day I posted a picture on Instagram of some raw energy bites. Someone made a comment about the chia seeds they were coated in, saying that chia seeds *must* be soaked before they're consumed, basically implying it's dangerous if they're not because of the way they absorb liquid. I've been sprinkling them on everything and eating them UNsoaked for years! Noticed you sprinkled them on your banana toast and even commented on their absorption properties as a good thing...thoughts?? Great looking recipes!

That is correct! Chia seed must be soaked before consumed, so you get all the benefits, otherwise it does not work and it could be dangerous

Hi Dani and C&D community. Unfortunately, I am lactose intolerant and cannot eat lactose containing product. Is there any good dairy free substitute for cottage cheese? I am looking for a substitute that is also high in protein.

Loved these recipes so easy and looks delish. I wanted to order some Bobs with the code but shipping was gonna cost 47.50 that was more than my order total. So sad. you can use coconut flour instead of almond but if you do that you would need to use less since coconut flour is more absorbent
