I am commenting all the way from Canada. I don’t normally comment on postings on here, but I just wanted to let you know that I came across your workouts a while ago and I find your workouts challenging but also easy to follow. I really enjoy the fact that you show individuals. The next activity is happening. I also like the fact that when you’re explaining it, you get two options if you have the equipment we don’t and also you’re very clear and explaining things, so thank you very much. I just turned 50 and I didn’t wanna get in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’ve been told that I look like I’m 35 which is a compliment and sometimes it’s not. So once again, thank you very much. Not sure if you’ll read this message but if you do, let me know if there’s anything I should be doing to get in the best shape I’ve ever been

Hey Jason, glad to hear you’re enjoying them. Best thing you can do is complete this 6 week lift series. Download the free program guide in this video description as there are extra tips in there. Also look into aligning your nutrition with your training. I have some plans on my website (also linked in description) if you want some guidance. All the best 💪

I'm slightly off-schedule so this was my first time doing this, but *man* it's ridiculous how well your "time spent exercising/resting" format works. I only found you a short time ago but I've already broken a months-long plateau where I just couldn't increase my weights and I think it's time to go up again. Also, it's great that you generally stick with the same weights - you have a "heavy" part and a "light" part and that's it. So many KZbinrs out there thinking we have an entire rack of weights in our tiny apartments so we can just swap out whenever lol

Thanks for noticing the details 👌👍 Ye I think a lot of workouts have too long intervals and too short rests for the results people are actually aiming for. Any ye trying to be realistic with equipment availability without sacrificing an effective workout. Glad to have you on board 💪🏼

Hey @tomp, I'm a day behind on this LIFT, having travelled on the 19th for a two week break. 💯 locked in throughout 🤝🏻 I saw you're asking our split preference earlier today. For ALL strength, work along the lines you're formatting definitely 30/20. I'm using similar weights to you and noting rep ranges on average x8 for the heavier 1st part so that'll tie in for the strength endurance component. I'm in for the duration & beyond. Will checkout the alternatives you've referenced....thanks immensely 🙏🏻
@TomPetoTraining Жыл бұрын
No problem, just follow program guide order & series playlist. Glad to have you on board. Ye I prefer the heavier 30:20 split personally. If you start a couple of second after the beeper I can see how it could be a touch short. Going to mix between 30:20 / 35:20 / 40:20 choosing which ever suits the exercises included best.

Had a week rest and restarted the series for the third time! Half way through the second run i realized that the strength in my left arm is lower than my right one is hugely because my grip is weak, and started working on a grip. Which is funny because Tom said in one of the comments that it might be an issue lol. Just took me 4 weeks to actually realize it. Today did 10lb in the first part and 5lb the second focusing on a grip, and it was very intense for my left arm!

Restarted for the fourth time! I did 10lb the first part and 5lb the second and definitely felt like I will challenge myself next time. I feel like next time I can do 15lb in the first part and just do a variation on a shoulder press if it's too much; and 10lb the second part with the exception of L-raise because that one is actually perfect with 5lb.

Hi watching from Peterborough UK and a beginner. Completed week 1. Week 2, finished Mondays workout but then I had 2 unsheduled rest days Tues & Wednesday. Started the order again on Thursday. My question is, should I also follow the rest days after arms and again after fbt, making that 4 rest days in total.
@TomPetoTraining Жыл бұрын
If you think it’s realistic to complete the whole program in 6 weeks you can switch and change the rest days around but keep same workout order. However, many people just follow the workout order and take rest days whenever they feel they need it/fits their schedule and often complete in around 8 week. Hope that helps

Great stuff, will do this as was looking for a change in routine. Thanks. Completed this today, my only comment is that I felt that I should do more than 30 secs as I am used to 45-60secs. Felt as though I was cheating lol.

increase the weight?!?
@TomPetoTraining Жыл бұрын
@@mattrosenthal8300 yes you just need a heavier weight 30 seconds should be enough for around 8-12reps per exercise which is a great rep range for building muscle. 60sec might give you a good burning sensation but probably not as effective for developing muscle. 👍

los 2 primeros rounds parecía fácil y subí a 12 kg pero de la miad para adelante se volvió exigente y estuve con 2 de 7,5kg
