Yin yoga is a deeply relaxing practice where postures are held for 2-7 minutes, traditionally. Today we’ll be holding calming yin yoga poses for about 2 minutes.
Longer holds allow the not just the body to relax into the yoga pose - but the MIND to settle into the pose as well. You will feel your nervous system relax as we hold these yin yoga poses which is excellent for stress and anxiety.
Whether you need yoga for anxiety or a deep yin yoga stretch, this full body yin yoga class will open up your body and calm your mind. This yin yoga class is great for a beginner yoga class - or anyone wanting to feel a little more freedom in their body.

I’ve been doing yoga every morning. It’s been life changing. You’re right, 10-15 is a great place to start. 10 minutes is better than nothing at all.

I agree - that’s how I started when a couple years ago. Didn’t think I could focus and sit still very long but now I can do hour plus yin yoga videos and enjoy every minute of the healing relaxing stretching.

It is always a pleasure following your exercises. Your rhythm of breath fits perfect my own. Sometimes, I’m not that flexible but it doesn’t matter. Love your voice. All in all I found my teacher.

I just discovered you on TikTok this morning while feeling so tight in my hip flexors and glutes. I decided to do this Yin Yoga practice to help with that, and I feel so much better and more relaxed. This was a wonderful practice! 💕

WOW... I've felt like poop the past couple of days and this helped so, so much! Ready for another video/class actually! Hugs from New Mexico! (we tried FL for a bit, but that HUMIDITY! The house is 3 vacation rentals now haha🤣)

Used a block to deepen into lizard and leaned my weight on my crisscrossed arms in pigeon to intensify the stretch, so good.

Greatful for your lessons. I started 6 weeks ago and found you a week ago. I have been mind prepping myself to recover my body before it is too late! My weight is good my flexabilty is improving and some of my pains are lessoned. The main two are right hip and low back. Right pitformis muscle is very much in lock mode but i know it is getting loser. Ken

Queensland, Australia👋🏼 I have just started doing Yin yoga this week, your classes are my first experience. Thank you! I was able to be so present in the moment during this class I felt the pain was a sensation and could really feel into my body and the moment. I have done Yoga before but this is the first time I have truly got the intention. I'm not sure any of that made sense haha

Hey Kate, i find difficulty in resting my forearms on mat with pose 2. . ANY TIPS??

Forearms don't need to be down! That's just how I do after practicing for a few years. Try it with your arms extended over head on finger tips. Work where you are. :) Forearms down is just a depth thing but matters very little. Any variation yields benefits.
