Then everyone could use that excuses whenever someone talked over them. Destiny always starts that game even when he's one of the biggest proponents of that tactic. Destiny use to be fun and entertaining to watch debate someone but lately he's just became disrespectful and childish. Putting your head down while others are talking just shows how little he wants to be there. In addition to all that, never has the FDA approved it for treatment of covid-19 in humans as there is no evidence that it helps... So the government assures them that these lawsuits won't happen and that paywall doesn't occur so more people get vaccinated (and faster)... It's a reasonable explanation that seems more probable than a conspiratorial explanations of things like "It's part of their plan for population control! They know it is dangerous and still distribute it intentionally harming all the people who get it!" It could have long term side effects, but we don't know that... @thequeenundisputed2 жыл бұрын
I wish Destiny would say "you're right, if there was a vaccine that was as effective at preventing obesity as the covid vaccines are at preventing covid, I'd be in favor of mandating that, as well". The problem with obesity is that it's a multifaceted issue, with social, emotional, mental, cultural and physical factors to consider and worry about, the level of responsibility one obese person has for not figuring out what many others have been unable to do and bootstrapping their way to fitness is much, much less than the level of responsibility an anti-vaxxer has for not taking 30 minutes out of their day to drive to CVS and get vaccinated because the level of burden it puts upon the individual is massively different, as well as the impact it has toward other people. I couldn't care less if some rando I meet on the street is fat, it doesn't make my life any better or worse for having encountered them, but if someone I met on the street had covid I could bring it home to my mom who has stage IV cancer and takes immunosuppressing medications and she would likely be dead in a matter of weeks. Now she wants to know what our founders thought our vision for this country should be. If she studied history at all, she would know the answer to this. When the revolutionary war was being fought, George Washington mandated, and actually forced, his army to get vaccinated. If he didn’t do that, there wouldn’t be an America today. We would’ve lost the war. And George Washington did that when vaccines were actually dangerous to take. There was very little sanitation, scientific practices, and they were giving them out in the field. George Washington understood that doing this was a patriotic thing to do, because if he didn’t, there wouldn’t be a society for them to exist in. At least not in the way that they wanted. So he mandated a vaccine for the future of the country.

What's really astonishing is that they seem to be able to understand that individual freedom does have its limits when it starts harming others. Destiny's comparison between masks/vaccines to car safety is lacking. Probability is more than just "oh, this thing increase my chance of survival, therefore everyone has to do it." The percentage of increase matters as well. For example, cars have seat belts, airbags, and the front can crumple. This is good because these things decrease the chance of injury significantly. However, do we mandate people to wear helmets or protective suits while driving cars? We don't because while these things do provide protection, the increase is so minimal there's no point in doing it. The rate of how a specific accident happens matter as well. How about wearing fire resistant clothing in cars in case something explodes? While the protection is great, the odds of your cars explode on a daily commute is also rare. What's the point of mandating this protection when the majority of people will never have that happens to them? Everything else he said is fine. However, the car thing always gets used without recognizing the nuance of probability.
