As an ace and horrible at lying, and living in a rather anti-lgbtq+ country I usually struggle to respond to guys who are trying to flirt and "be nice" with me in a futile hope for a relationship. I was once stuck on a hike with a horrible chatter-box of a flirt, and he had absolutely zero boundaries (I knew what stds he had half way through the hike, as an examples). Finally I got fed up and didn't want to "lead him on" just by being silent (it was a difficult hike anyway, couldn't talk much), literally just told him that I'm not interested in any relationships of sexual kind and he was "oh wait, do you mean you're an ace?". I was a bit surprised as I had to explain to my friends what "asexual" means and I'm not sure they still understand. Meanwhile this guy was just "okay, nvm, got it, moving on". So this is how I accidentally came out to a stranger while not even my family knows, only those few friends whom I told that if I could have a family it'd be with another ace girl and adoption (impossible here anyway). He was and still is the most obnoxious person I know but he was in fact *nice* and never attempted to flirt with me again, so here's a happy end for you, random reader on the internet! :D I'm sure he's going to get a gorgeous girl for himself one day with his undying confidence and optimism.

@@axonice It means not being sexually attracted to anyone. I am attracted romantically to girls to a little degree but I don't want to have an intimate relationship with anyone, the thought actually disturbs me a bit. However, I'm just one example; there can be asexuals that enjoy the feeling that intercourse brings -- the important part is not being physically attracted to people. There can also be aromantic asexuals (aroace) that don't experience romantic love as well as physical attraction. Until I knew what "asexual" means I simply thought people were exaggerating the amount of "feelings" they felt when they said they were "horny" or "thirsty". About a month or two ago, there was a guy on BlueSky who went to someone I follow who regularly posts photos of herself (in various states of undress) and started complimenting her DNA. She pointed out that such was creepy and that she wanted him to go away, and he persisted. Several of us who follow and support her also jumped in to rightfully suggest that he was on some weird eugenics shit and really needed to stop, and still he insisted that he was "just complimenting her". This little story is your reminder that even if a femme individual is showing herself or themself off in a sexual light, you have no right to be a creepy to them/her. You can appreciate her/their photos, sure, and make more typical compliments of their/her appearance, but the instant you start feeling entitled to their/her attention, and *especially* if you start spouting eugenics-coded shit, everyone, especially the affected individual, has the right to tell you to shut up and fuck off. @T.alba_the_Swift7 ай бұрын
@@Moho_braccatus_ I don’t know and unless they develop the self-awareness to go to therapy, I don’t care to know. Even if they do, I don’t think a lot of them realize that going to therapy doesn’t just mean “going to therapy.” Showing up is only part of it and I doubt a majority of the men (or really people in general) have the resolve or the patience to actually participate and apply what is taught. Remember, these are “nIcE gUyS” we are dealing with and plenty of posts from them and also incels have shown that they believe therapy is a waste of time. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but some of the things that they say about why that is just makes it feel like they have nobody to blame but themselves.
@manersbams92156 ай бұрын
@talba9264 You’re confused, therapy is for people who actually need it to move past a traumatic event not to change a persons whole personality that’s stupid, people grow through mistakes and the people around them. I honestly agree with some of the guys, specifically the guy who’s frustrated at the girl who’s apparently dating abusive people but leaving them on the sideline. Had experience with that, not a good feeling honestly and it’s much better to block and move on before those dark feelings start making you into a worse person. Regardless men are allowed to be frustrated with women and are under no obligation to feel any sympathy for their past relationships, especially when they have to watch the train wreck happen. Much better to just remove yourself from that shit show and laugh at the results, it is very cathartic. Not like they ever listen. I’ll never understand why women feel sympathy for these people when their just as bad most of the time.
@T.alba_the_Swift6 ай бұрын
@@manersbams9215 respectfully speaking, you are right that therapy doesn’t change a person’s personality. I never said as such. Therapy can help with trauma, but it’s also used to help people identify and process any troubling emotions and behaviors. Plenty of people experience those things but that doesn’t mean they’re traumatized. Not every bad thing that happens in life results in trauma. People do grow through mistakes if they choose to do so. Some people just refuse to do so. I’m not dismissing what you said, only pointing out that mistakes don’t automatically result with character development. Anyone can grow and change, but there are those who don’t want to for whatever reason. That’s their choice and their hang up to deal with, and it’s certainly no reason to take it out on other people. I do admit that there are times these men are legitimately being toyed with by the women and that’s not okay. If the guy on the sidelines isn’t getting what he wants, why doesn’t he just walk away? We’re really only in control of ourselves and our actions. If he’s sticking around hoping to be with that woman who is constantly not choosing him, that misery is on him. I get that it’s upsetting to not be chosen, but if the results are the same every time and not to your liking, then just walk away. And pardon me if I’m not reading your words correctly, but are you implying that it’s cathartic to watch other people suffer because you feel they rejected or wronged you? If that is truly what you meant, those are not good people and really not much better than those that are “apparently” abusive.
@manersbams92156 ай бұрын
@@T.alba_the_Swift Basically what I was trying to say in a nut shell, thing is that people truly need therapy won’t get it until they fucked their life up so bad that it can’t be helped anymore, they ether have a groupies telling them how great they are and busting their self esteem so much they ignore what got them their or on the opposite spectrum for those that don’t have a lot of people they view it as a problem or are to stubborn to admit they have a problem. Then by the time they do get therapy it’s too late to fix anything and you’re life is in shambles, it’s the fucking worst cause they think therapy is a magic button for fixing all your probs. Then there are people who recommend therapy to every single guy that has a bit of a temper or shares a personal trauma that they handled in life but felt they need to shared to a trusted friend. Go to fucking therapy they say, bruh like I know I’m coming off as the later but I been to therapy and even the therapist acknowledged how dumb these people can be, therapy isn’t a solution it’s a process towards a solution. You don’t need therapy if you still have your life together and stay self aware. There’s nothing wrong at laughing at idiots, especially when they do you harm, catharsis exists for a reason. There are many darker emotions in the human psyche that makes people back track on themselves one of those is catharsis. Allowing yourself to feel happiness at the struggle of genuinely bad people, ESPECIALLY people who have caused you stress and turmoil is part of the process of healing and removing them from your life. Guys have attachment issues, this is because guys fall in love faster and sometimes harder then gals, ever heard those stories where a guy kills his spouse then himself because she cheated on him(assume the cheater is dead if he in the room) that’s the reason. If a guy isn’t careful they could very easily fall into that and then you’ll end up with a lot of dead women. I have a hard time sympathizing with women who are scared of being harmed by their spouse for this reason, a lot of them are cheater stories, the few that aren’t are genuine tragedies from an idiot who made himself fall in love. And before you say it one of the biggest reasons girls date someone who is clearly bad for them is because they do the exact same thing as guys who do that kind of thing, they fill their heads with ideas on how this guy is in their head and how it’s gonna go instead of actually getting to know the guy, guys are do more harm to others when they enter this mindset so they get the share of the blame and they definitely are to blame but everyone fucking does it.

The only thing oppressing men is the same thing oppressing women - misogyny. You are constantly bombarded with the message that to have/do/be anything in any way similar to a girl, degrades you. This is all due to the misogynistic belief *that being female is inherently degrading*. Its the reason for homophobia too. And to be fair, while its often older males or peers who weaponize misogyny against other boys/men, some women also use misogyny to hurt men, in a compensatory if-i-have-to-be-limited-by-gender-then--so-do-you type of way. Because its an easy way to hit back, as a guy cant usually deflect misogyny by just owning it (though certain types of gay men have mastered this ability). And mothers do it to their sons often from infancy, maybe not aware theyre doing it, or they think they're preventing him from being a target of bullies. The whole "misandry" concept is a huge red herring. Misogyny is whats responsible for most sexism against men.
