This session will open your hip flexors and your chest. It will energize you, we aren't starting laying down. We will always work with an energizing, lung filling breath in Pilates which will bring back life, energy and vitality to your body, just what is needed after a stressful day at work or traveling all cramped up. Even if you haven't been sitting, the joy of this workout is in dynamically moving in all directions, including on our feet, moving our blood and our circulation head to toe, full body. We will strengthen the back, the glutes, the legs, train our balance, strengthen our obliques, inner thighs (adductors) and hips (abductors). We will work the shoulders and of course our abs. We will avoid flexion and work our core in plank challenges and as a stabilizer and in conjunction with the lats and shoulder muscles. We will mobilize the spine, starting with a yummy back extension and cat stretch, we will work spinal rotation and certainly back extension. You will feel more breath, more length, more strength and more openness at the end of this session. I hope you enjoy it and come back as often as you wish to repeat. Remember only by practice and repetition can we attain the results we are looking for, and simply feel good and be healthy every day ! Let's get moving !
