YES for Gaspar Noe I absolutely love his work especially since I love disturbing films! Speaking of disturbing films I'm sure you made a video about what's coming to VOD in November last year and Sleepless Beauty was a film you mentioned and the reviews and critics were saying it was like SAW and Martyrs so I've been waiting months for it. It finally came out last week and I've never been so disappointed I'd really love to know what you thought of it :)

I would totally follow a series where you talk about particular directors and their art. Noé would be awesome, and your love of his films kinda sets you apart from much contemporary criticism (although see Ebert’s review of Irreversible. It is spot on.) - Ki Duk Kim also has quite a few older films that are haunting and beautiful and sometimes horrific. If you haven’t seen his films from the late 90s early 2000s, highly recommended. Oh. And of course my favorite. Lars von Trier.

I would 100% love a Gasper Noe feature, Emma! Irreversible warrants it's own deconstruction video: the use of Infrasound, the sickening images coupled with those dizzying camera angles... *SHUDDERS*. Also, I kind of loved The Baby. I feel that it completely subverts your expectations around themes of abuse and, I couldn't help but cheer inside during the big reveal which I found strangely wholesome. Just me? Okie dokie. Great video btw :)

Very big on directors and their bodies of work, I'd love to see you do individual focus pieces on them. I'd be fascinated even if your eventual choices for directors aren't ones I watch or like - you might give me something new to appreciate in their films. I'd love to see you do one on Shinya Tsukamoto someday, though less than half of his output has been horror. He's mostly known for Tetsuo: the Iron Man, a movie that I'm more fond of each time I see it - but honestly, it's not my fave from him.

I watched some weird stuff in February: A Cure for Wellness, The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Some indie horror movies like Talon Falls, 13 Cameras and the Bornless Ones. All OK though, nothing groundbreaking

I know this is way after the fact but I just watched Antebellum. You know what? I think you're right. It wasn't too bad!

I LOVE The Leftovers. It's an all time favourite for me. Definitely keep with it. Season 2 is probably the best. It lightens up a bit for those who didn't like the misery porn of season 1. Also season 3 takes place in Australia! And they totally stick the landing. The finale had me in tears. Happy tears.

I despised the villains in both Hunted and Colossal to aneurysm point. I felt that the guy in the former got off pretty lightly, considering what he had planned and had already done.
