@@gamesmoney1025it’s about preference really, if you like the adventure, expanding of world, meeting new people/friends (helping them out with whatever situation they’re going through) Dragonball is the better choice. If you’re preference is getting to the action, fighting, power levels type of thing, then Z is the better choice. (Although the Frieza saga was just perfect cuz it had both aspects of it in it ) I love both, but I do enjoy Dragonball a little more for how lighthearted it is and the adventures with the OG crew.

you can binge watch a whole season in a day. i know i did when i first watched it. my set of dvds had problems. they're the one with the blue cover. some of the episodes would skip at certain parts which made those few minutes unwatchable. i wonder if the remaster one she has fixes that issue. dragon ball gt also had that issue with the lime green covers.

The dragon ball manga debut in 1984 The anime started in 1986. The manga takes a lot of elements from the 1592 novel “Journey to the west” (there’s a game coming out soon call “Black Myth: Wukong” based on the same material) Goku is about 11-12 years old and Bulma is about 16-17. If you like the art style. You probably like Chrono trigger or the Dragon Quest games all made by Square-enix.

Depending on what you consider canon, Goku is either 15 or 11 in this episode. Bulma is 16 either way.

@@BestAnimeFreak Nope. He tells Master Roshi he is 13. Then in the Tenkaichi Budokai he says he's actually 12, that he told Roshi he was 13 because he thought that after 11 came 13 but as Master Roshi taught him and Krilin maths he learnt how to count properly.

OG DB is more based on Sun Wukong in Journey to the West, so mythical based narrative, whereas DBZ is makes a pivot towards Space Alien Warrior, so science fiction narrative. I prefer OG DB because once the pivot happens it changes the underlying message a bit too much. I love both but OG DB is a superior story imo

Dragon Ball through Dragon Ball Z is one of the greatest fighting anime's ever made even for today. Also the story is loosely based off China's "Journey to the West" with Goku taking the place of Sun Wukong. Both Series add up to about 450 episodes so it can be quite long but super enjoyable.

Dragon Ball is my favorite show of all time , not only talking about animes but any show. . my second favorite anime is One Punch Man . my third favorite anime is the Prince of Tennis , my fourth favorite Anime is OG Naruto ( including the Fillers , not only the canonic material ) and Boruto is my fifth favorite anime. this first episode of Dragon Ball transmit to me the pure innocence of Goku ; which i love . and the sassyness of Bulma . both of them are super charismatic characters in my opinion . Dragon Ball is fulfilled of charismatic characters, in my opinion . just like One Punch Man , The Prince of Tennis OG Naruto and Boruto are also fulfilled of charismatic characters .

watch your reactions of Dragon Ball on English Dub will be my first time watching it on English. i watched once all the episodes on Brazilian-Portuguese which is my language and once on Japanese. based on this first episode i'm loving the English Dub . i loved Goku and Bulma voice acting on English . this first episode of Dragon Ball transmit to me the pure innocence of Goku which i love . and the sassyness of Bulma . both of them are super charismatic characters in my opinion . Dragon Ball is fulfilled of charismatic characters, in my opinion

@@classyrobot5648 thank you very much . playing Zelda Ocarina of Time on my childhood with dictionary helped me a lot to learn english , i had a english teacher during school too and watching streamers that talk on english on twitch helped me a lot to learn more english . specially because of the chat of the livestreams . i still need few help here and there of Google Tranlator but 99% of the time i do not need it and i'm happy with it . english is a language that i love and in my opinion there are so many good content creators like Suzy that do content on english and i'm grateful that i always watched them with no problems . i tried to learn japanese too but i gave up . i waited to youtube start translating japanese better on the Closed Captions and finally today the Closed Captions of the youtube works super well . i can watch i wish you a great week

OH YOU'RE IN FOR A JOURNEY!!!! Subscribed. This is considered the greatest and most favorite and beloved anime on the planet since it came out and you'll see why with each one considering Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super. People have tattoos of their characters or scenes, countries all over the world have stadiums and outside parties of their seasons episodes, you are about to enter one of the biggest phenomenons in the world like bigger than Star Wars, The Avengers, Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings. I just hope you go step by step and are wary of spoilers when reading comments!! When you consider starting Dragon Ball Z, make sure you don't watch Dragon Ball Kai. That is like a PG rated version of Dragon Ball Z without the original voice actors and music and is NOT the original. Dragon Ball GT doesn't follow the canon or comic but its good regardless what people say, but it isn't a prequel to Dragon Ball Super which follows the ending of Dragon Ball Z like Dragon Ball GT tries to do. Watch Dragon Ball Z, not Kai after Dragon Ball lol we're all excited for you!!

No Goku is 11 at the beginning of dragon Ball because during the world tournament Goku says he's 12 due to the fact that he learned how to count past 11. The world tournament has to take place a year later after the event of the pilaf saga because goku starts his search for the dragon Ball right after tournament which only takes place over the course of 2 days.

Fun fact: "Son Gokū" is the Japanese reading of "Sun Wukong" ("Monkey King"), the protagonist of the 16th-century Chinese novel, _Journey to the West,_ of which there are countless adaptations and references in Chinese and Japanese culture. _Dragonball_ is a _very_ loose adaptation. I think (although I'm pretty unfamiliar with the the story of the novel, only barely knowing it through descriptions of the plot) Toriyama included quite a few elements of the source material, but there's a lot of original material and material from other sources as well, like probably most of the characters and a lot of the plot. 9:40 This makes more sense in the original Japanese, where "Bulma" is pronounced "Bu-ru-ma", which sounds the same as "bloomers". You'll find many of the character names in _DB_ have specific themes, like clothing and food. Obviously, Bulma is in the clothing category. And Pilaf is food.

Dragon Ball started as a gag manga, Toriyama was a gag manga writer and artist but as the series goes on it gets a lot more serious and action heavy.
