hi Naomi! swedish person here! Both "dammsugare" and "polly" have arrak in them, which is a type of brandy or schnapps so to speak, us swedes love alcohol :D Also the pickles you bought are called "salladsgurka" or "sötgurka" which literally means sweet cucumber. You are supposed to put them either on a sandwitch with liver paste or on cheese! You can also eat them on the side of some swedish stews, one in perticular is called "kalops" which is meat based, a classic. Ikea is ofc very popular in sweden, but Ikea meatballs are nothing like the home made ones. I hope you can come to sweden soon, id love to see you there! ^^

Fun seeing you rate the IKEA-food, especially when I'm swedish :) The pastry with almond paste is actually called "dammsugare" and can be translated as vacuumcleaner... @@vlaaa_0.0 yes, yes they are. I mixed them up. Ik vind beiden dan ook echt vies, dus ben niet heel bekend met ze xD

I will now forever call custard "vanilla sauce" 🤣

Custard is actually called Pudding in germany and it’s not the same thing as vanilla sauce since pudding (custard) is way thicker lol

I used to get Princess Cakes every time I went. 🤤 It was sponge cake with a layer of jam and a dome of whipped cream covered in a thin layer of marzipan. They were sooooo delicious! But after COVID, they stopped serving them at the IKEA near me. ☹️ Now I can only get them frozen and they’re just not the same.

I like ikea for saying consistent. Plus not out dating their own products

the most surprising to me was that the meatballs didn't come with lingonberry sauce ?! That's the best part of it, potato+mash+lingonberry bite ! aaaaaa lol Also I LOVE me some cheap cinnamonrolls from IKEA lol

IKEA is actually a restaurant where they also sell furniture rather than a furniture store with a restaurant. I'm a Swede, I should know. 😏😄
