Declutter The Mind

Күн бұрын

If you're feeling angry or frustrated right now, use this 15 minute practice to help you manage your anger and diffuse your frustration. This guided meditation for anger and frustration starts with mindfulness to help us become more familiar with the feelings in a detached way. We end the practice with loving-kindness towards ourselves and to people who make us angry or frustrate us.

This evening, when so much came crashing down during the day, I thought I was on the verge of losing it, I came across this meditation, and I am calmed. Truely wonderful.

Thanks for helping me calm down. I didn't know I could do this. I was suddenly inspired to do this because I was so hysteric I didn't want to talk to someone about it and make it worse and was too upset to calm myself to talk to God. This meditation helped me to be more aware of this feeling and try to see things from God's viewpoint. Thanks so much. I love how I feel now.

This helped thank you. I am dealing with a difficult work person and it's spilling into my personal life and I don't want it to anymore. The people I love don't deserve it.

I really appreciated how this meditation encouraged me to bring peace to myself and then surprisingly turned it around to wish for peace and happiness to the person I was feeling angry with. That reminder that we all want to be happy helped to lead into the transition.

Absolutely amazing!!! I have a sense of calm now which is now needing since my body is shaking from stored anger causing neuro issuess and pain in my body. I love the " May I Be" words. It is more believable and opens door. Thank you!

Imma be honest, I can find a reason to be angry daily 😂 I have just recently learned not to voice every single transgression with others. This definitely helped me to release the negative energy. Now I can focus on me and what I need to do.

This meditation, (and the remarks that I read), was so useful to me to understand the relationships between frustration, anger, and anxiety that it becomes a deeply moving experience. I am so glad that you folks are so wise and talented to be here and easily available on this site. ADB,MD

This was a real eye opener. When it got to the part of " think about the person who makes you Angry" I just silently cried to myself because that person was ME! This really helped Me get out of my funk this morning and I want to thank you for that. 🧘🏿‍♀️🖤☀️

I can be protective and this meditation helped me calm down enough to recognize that my controlling tendencies are birthing this frustration with the way others behave. My anger and frustration come from a lack of power. This guy really came for me when I told him to quiet down and instead of recognizing his defensiveness I let my own control me. Thank you.

I've taken on a job that, if I get through it, I'll come out very strong. In the meantime, my anger and frustration have gotten out of control. I do quite a bit of meditation but never have I done it towards specific feelings and emotions. Seeing myself in the neutral and then clearly seeing my judgement and shame towards myself underneath the anger was very effective. I am in a MUCH better place than I was 14 minutes ago. You are great at what you do. Let that joy sink in.

i had a surprising experience. i got a little emotional at the end when wishing the person who made me angry to be peaceful, happy, free of suffering. some part of me knows it's really not about me at all, but i tend to get in my head too much. thanks to my therapist for encouraging me to get into meditation and thanks to you for this video. it helped me remember who i really am.

My experience today seems to me different from the experience I had 2 months ago and the comments that I recorded below. Today, my experience of anger, frustration, and disappointment seems to be much more muted; less emotionally intense; clear and more acceptable. I am sending you my love and gratitude: by the way, today is Thanksgiving Day in the USA. ADB,MD

My anger at unjust systems are justified, I'm not letting that go. Letting it go means despair consumes me instead of anger
@DeclutterTheMind
@DeclutterTheMind 3 жыл бұрын
"Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die" There are more productive emotions that help us deal with unjust systems. Anger is destructive. Despair is a tough one, though. We have practices on the channel for despair if you're interested.

We have to be careful and aware that when our feelings of frustration and anger are misdirected to people we know personally they may also suffer mentally and emotionally just as we are suffering ourselves from the frustration and anger! If you catch yourself doing this or before expressing your misdirected anger, you can feel your anger, BUT you don't have to misdirect it to an innocent person. Enough said! ADB,MD

Couldn't wish good things on the person who i'm angry at. The hatred i have for him is well justified, i just don't it to control my everyday life.
@DeclutterTheMind
@DeclutterTheMind 3 жыл бұрын
That's fair. Remember that telling yourself the hatred is "justified" is a story you're telling yourself, that you can detach from the anger. However, I'm not saying you're wrong, it may well be justified. You can try a simple mindfulness practice on the channel to sit with the anger the next time it arises. This particular practice isn't perfect for all types of anger, including anger towards someone truly malicious.

Unfortunately had to stop when he said to wish the jerks well. Bc they are narcissists and happy with themselves and only care about themselves and in turn hurt others.
