Will get on it as soon as i can find a quitetish free day to film .I guess i could brew in the bedroom but not sure how that will go down.
@frankshomebrew77597 жыл бұрын
Ah sure what could possibly go wrong with that idea ha ha

Nowt wrong with cutting corners when you know what you are doing, especially when you have 3 nippers at your heels. As for the no chill, it's an art and probably never will be a science. If it tastes good to you and you are hitting the numbers then all good I reckon 👍🏼

Yeah too true i do feel i may be cutting too many sometimes and im sure it may come back to bite me.But with such small batches at present its not to painful if you have to bin some.

Everyone likes a full brew day vid, I`m the same with a lot of old stock but if it makes a poor beer we`ll re engineer it, Cheers
@beerloverTV7 жыл бұрын
I will have to get on it now lol

Sparging? I thought that was exactly the reason you use a recirculating system so that you dont have to sparge. I find you really dont need finings when you use a recirk. Nice to see you brewing again Grant.
@beerloverTV7 жыл бұрын
Well theres people out there that say you should i have done both at this present time im not monitoring efficenciancy too closely so maybe a test for the future.At present it suits to full mash for ease.
@rimmersbryggeri7 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you at the most for such a small batch maybe heat a kettleful of water up to rinse.

All breweries including the people that makes the British version of Fosters know how to make excellent beer but they know that they will make more money by using cheap grain and almost no late addition hops. That's why my homebrew is better than the Guinness's Hop House 13 by a country mile. The best beer in pubs is always beer that is unknown by the public. I had a pint in a local pub the other night called Christopher (using Columbus hops. Quelle surprise) fantastic.

To be fair some of the gunness beers coming out are not to bad their latest milk stout is not bad for supermarket fair.But agreed they know how to make better beer but that would cost them more.

you should definitely do a full braumeister brew day. funny you are talking about stout and columbus in the same video as I've been trying to work out a Columbus stout recipe, got some Apollo too to enhance that dankness. that last video of yours was good, you are dead right about us big stupid men bottling things up.
@beerloverTV7 жыл бұрын
Cheers fella you may want to give the columbus brown a shot i think ant rogerson tweaked it last and made a better version than i did.It was a porter base with some vienna and 100% columbus but only a 30 min boil a solid beer.Cheers for comments re last vid aswell

is that a mini braumeister?
@beerloverTV7 жыл бұрын
stephen piskor It sure is the 10ltr model.
@vulcan60367 жыл бұрын
beerloverTV Nice. is that just to make 10l of wort. or do you make a concentrated wort and dilute?
@beerloverTV7 жыл бұрын
stephen piskor You can do both really i tend to go for around a 4-5% beer at 10ltrs.You can double mash for high abv but i prefer session strength.10ltrs means less to bottle less to drink and more variety i love it.
@vulcan60367 жыл бұрын
beerloverTV cool .. I bet the output would suit a 9 litre corny plus a couple of bottles.
@beerloverTV7 жыл бұрын
It sure is makes bottling day a breeze.I have to say i used to get sad when i neared the end of a 23ltr batch but more often than not im bored after the 15ltr mark.So this allows variety and more frequent brewing.
