Youre right helena . I did all the things you mentioned starring from booking his stays while asking him to come down to my city, to cooking meals for him and trying to convince him that im not one of these girls of todays era and how i still respect my culture and went all in with him to prove im not whiling ny time away with him and its something real i have to offer. I did all of those yet couldn't keep him. Because the problem was eith me. I was trying to make this man my evertything making my marriage with him the end goal putting it on the pedestal way higher than my own worth. It costs me a lot of things. First my worth my self value and self respect next my hard earned money that i wasted on his stay. We women invest not only emotionally but physically as well as financially when we're all in. And we lose our power which is obvious to them. Never ever lose yourself. You simply need to exist dont ecen reciprocating their efforts let them do it all and prpve themselves to you they need to earn you. Sit back and let them prove that.

This is exactly how I have been acting and trying and holding on and he finally had to get super firm with me again to tell me he is not at all interested in me and a long term relationship. He has told me this so many times and I keep trying and hoping it will change. It hurts so bad and I don’t know how to let go, get through, and not do it again.

Does this apply if he is financially supporting me and being VERY generous with gifts and trips and showing me commitment through good morning and goodnight check ins and texts/calls throughout the day? We have to give back in some way right? I feel like I did put him on a pedestal and I was willing to do anything for him because he never asked for anything and he was doing so much for me. My problem is it happens all the time even with my kids father's I've been hurt so so many times... So I think it's a generational curse or witchcraft... Someone put that spell on me to not have that beautiful part completely... I am in a type of relationship for 6 years now. Cause I got tired of starting over with a new one...
