"Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God." How can that verse be true if most people are burning in Hell forever? Are people in Hell bowing their knees and praising God because they're forced to? That can't be because God wants free will. The very argument for Hell is based on God not wanting forced love. Are they doing so because they are pleading for release from their fate? That's what I used to believe, but upon further examination that belief makes no sense at all. If they're in Hell and know they'll be there forever, they won't be praising Jesus. If they are praising Jesus genuinely, then it can only be because they believe that He will ultimately deliver them. But if that's true then Hell wouldn't be forever.

Yes, there is the concept of a chosen, and elect in the Bible. But I think most "elect" do not realize what they are elected for. Creation groans for the manifestation of the sons of God. The purpose of the elect is to be the salt of the earth, a light on a hill for others. Creation groans for the manifestation of the sons of God. The elect will be called to set creation free from its bondage to corruption. The true elect enter into the labor of the Lord to bring in the full harvest.

We have to think seriously how many actually seriously believe and follow Jesus-it is not many at all(counting in those that lived prior to Jesus being born in several countries). Anja Jovic Well, in a sense for Christians to say that there is a heaven for believers and a hell for those who do not believe the Gospel is of course implying that they have the correct faith. I personally think hell is bullshit, as I do not believe in God. But Christian theology is very interesting to me and so is the idea of hell. Granted the possibility of God existing, I doubt he/she/it would send people to hell to burn LITERALLY forever because they had the wrong book. Judaism, Islam and Christianity all come from the same roots, and thus worship the same God. The only difference is the way they interpret Him. Why would God care what book was read in order to reach he/she/it? The point you make about being born prior to Jesus existing, how would those people ever possibly have a chance at salvation? Why would a loving God allow those circumstances? I think that if there is a God that God would be nothing BUT love, period. Speaking as a non-believer, I think universalism is the way to go. It is the only Christian theology that represents an UNCONDITIONALLY loving God, in my honest opinion. I wish you the best in your walk of faith.

First I am a closet universalist.But one thing you can't get around that Jesus and the apostles taught a terrible judgment to come for those who reject them. Gary doesn't preach this, he goes to the exact opposite extreme as the eternal burn crowd, though he does throw a Cavet in here in and there in his written works. Jesus preached judgment my friend. Also, Gary,s answer about Hitler being in heaven was ridulous. I am glad he clarified afterwards but really what the deal with justifying him on the program. Gary's written stuff has been informative. But I think he overdoes it. There are millions of people who believe in the eternalBurn God and are very good living and sacrificial christians. U can't get around that . I suspect that most universalists don't hold a candle to them. To preach a God who won't punish sinners like Hitler's Stalin etc is just as much a heresy as anything else.

I ask you this question: If an omnipotent God submitted his inerrant word/message to man, why didn't God inspire men to translate the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts into English without the original texts being "tampered" with? Again, I ask, if any translation can contain errors, why should I even trust the original manuscripts or any other translation as authentic texts inspired by God almighty? If the destruction of the wicked in permanent or eternal, then God the Father and His Son failed. Jesus was sent into the world to save it, to redeem it. As Abraham Lincoln once said when overhearing two Christians arguing over how many people would ultimately be saved, Lincoln said, "It's either all or none." One of Lincoln's biographers said Lincoln wrote a paper proving universal salvation using 1 Cor. 15:22-28. It's all or none. I'm on the "all" side.

The premise starts on the foundation that all men have Immortal Souls. Nowhere in the Bible does it says that man has an immortal soul. Bible says that God is the only one that is immortal. The only way to gain eternal life is through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and putting your total faith and trust in his Redemptive power. And the power of the Resurrection. How the dictionary defines faith, how religion defines faith and how Jesus defined faith are very different.Faith is not blind believism. Well, this was very interesting, because my forefathers, the ancient Thracians (i.e. ancient Bulgarians), said in a Chronicle from 500 BC (Based on oral Orphic teaching from around 5500 BC) that the sun was created to the image of God the Word, because He is the Light of human souls. Many Christians are beginning to see the teaching of Hell as demonic. Many Christians are considering the lake of fire as a place of annihilation. So now, instead of God appearing to be a sadistic terrorist, is now akin to Hitler who just burns people to death. This is a good, informative, and helpful video. Lee Strobel's whole "I don't know what to do with Hitler in heaven", etc. is just a misnomer and a misleading statement that he throws out there to in order to try salvage eternal torture among people who watch his show. The proof of that is this: Which would you find more appalling...Hitler in heaven or your poor grey haired mother and father being tortured in fire? That's the proper question.

The next proper question he should ask is: Why would you want to worship an entity that will condemn your own grey hair mother, father, or your kids, to eternal torture? These are questions no Christian seems to ask. Another question is: Do you think it at least odd, that an entity who would abandon or torment your own grey haired mother and father, would still insist that you worship him? Very sadly, there are Christians who are indeed eager to worship such a beast.

Jesus said He came NOT to destroy people's lives but to save them and He said He would draw all to Himself, but each in their own order. He said street sinners would enter the kingdom BEFORE the Pharisees. You say we must "chose" Did Paul? Did the other apostles? Didn't Jesus say no one can come to the Father unless He draws? Tomcat, the Bible God sends EVERYONE to eternal life. There is no hell of everlasting "roasting." The church has taught that for 1600 years, many "translations" of the Bible have taught that, but it's not true. God send Jesus to "save the world" and that's exactly what He is doing. He will restore it on the 1st resurrection for those found in Christ and for the alive still remaining during tribulation, their bodies will be translated into immortality. There is no destruction or annihilation from which a "soul" cannot be restored, reconciled, redeemed, renewed, etc. In Adam all died and in Christ will everyone who died in Adam be made alive. That's a promise; that's a guarantee. Jesus saves all. Anything less dishonors the work of Christ's death on the cross for all mankind.
