It’s so crazy how it goes back deeply rooted in childhood. I’m an anxious attachment style and my husband is an avoidant. Unfortunately we’ve been navigating a lot of problems especially because these two attract each other. And while I’m trying to work to become secure, it feels like it’s best to avoid the avoidant and it’s scary. I don’t want a failed marriage over him failing to do the work, but I guess it is what it is.

Do you think it has something to do with the attachement to the individials parents, or do you think that a persons attachement to its parents and partner can be completely different?

Yes! The whole attachment theory stems from a study done btwn babies and their parents which helped to shape their attachment style, highly recommend looking up the study inshallah
