So much wisdom here. I’ve been WFPB for quite some time finally facing a recent weight gain head on. It may only be 8 lbs but on my small frame it notice it. I had to store a whole bunch of clothes last fall and buy new pants. Now I’m ready to do something It’s easy to get discouraged that I’m having a hard time maintaining and post menopause seems like weight loss is super slow despite being pretty active and minding my fat portions (which are my downfall I LOVE avocado, seeds, nuts, tahini, olives,etc.) i needed this reminder about it being about the process and sustainability. It helps SO MUCH being around my people. People who care about their health and are embracing a sustainable nutritient dense active lifestyle. Thanks Jeremy and Shauné! And everyone else for being here. 🥦💪 I’m feeling OK after watching bunch of these interviews with this being a lifelong journey for me. I want to be able to eat whatever I want whenever(and fortunately I CRAVE oatmeal and veggies and lentil wraps and have NO interest in processed foods or sugar AT ALL after eating this way for decades) but some things I’m having to track more carefully right now. I feel less alone and frustrated when I watch these. I need support right now now.

You can boil tofu in salted water instead of pressing. Or bake thr moisture away and use in recipe.

Never tried that. Sounds like it’s not any faster than pressing though…

Hi Jeremy, great interview with Shaune. The passion and enthusiasm you both have for this lifestyle is so evident. Enjoyed listening about her journey through weight loss, improved health, and now her mission to help others. Impressed with how many courses the two of you have completed! Btw, is there a mid-range price chef knife you would recommend? I need one. Thanks!

Hi, Jeremy! I watched the video today as it was 9 pm on this side of the world when it started. Very good interview! I've been plant based for almost 3 years and I find that your videos are sometimes focused on beginners and I don't learn new things, however I still struggle with using aquafaba, I keep it in the fridge and let it go bad constantly so good tip on the coating to add seasonings! It could be a video idea, how to use aquafaba in an simple way (not fancy recipes). Also, I've been tracking calories/macros for a long time and at a moment I felt it was affecting my mental health, I got in an intuitive eating program and it worked to improve my relationship with food but I gained weight (I was on a vegan diet but not wfpb as I am now) and wasn't happy with that. So, I got back to tracking until now. I don't need to lose any weight but I'm having a hard time letting it go, I don't know if it's a topic of interest to many people but I would like to know how you managed that. Looking forward to your next videos!
@pbwithjeremy Жыл бұрын
Thank YOU so much for this amazing message. I love your ideas here - adding them to my list. Uses for aquafaba is a great idea. And I'm happy to hear that you think people might be interested in me talking about mental health and weight loss and my story with stopping to count calories - it was HARD. I'll do that first sure. That'll be a RAW video :) What content would be helpful for you that's less beginner? Happy to get ideas - you're full of great ones!

Great interview with Shaune! Very charming and interesting woman! Food cravings are very tough for me at times. I craved ice cream and yogurt badly. It took so much effort to NOT stop at my favorite ice cream stand in town and order pb and raspberry swirl frozen yogurt, but by the second half of summer, I was able to drive by it without stopping. So, now I crave the WFPB versions, my chocolate & peanut butter nice cream (beats the ice cream stand stuff) and my instant pot Greek soy yogurt. Thanks to many, many videos on KZbin, I got an instant pot and started making soy yogurt. I strain it to make it Greek style. It makes me soy happy 😂 It’s the best of both worlds. I get my fresh, delicious homemade yogurt which is better than any store bought yogurt and it’s dairy free! And now natural food tastes amazing. A fresh crunchy apple or carrot is so good! I love balsamic vegetables. I would like to buy an air fryer next to make vegetables and tofu, etc. Do you use your a lot? Is it worth it? Thanks for everything!
@pbwithjeremy11 ай бұрын
Hey Vi! Good for you for having that self control - you've got this!!!! As for the air fryer I used mine a LOT - lots of great uses - honestly - at least once or twice a day someone in our family is using it.

@@pbwithjeremy Very cool, thanks for answering my question! Well, after much thought and self deliberation 😂, I just ordered my first one on Amazon. I am so excited!! This way of eating has definitely been a journey for me. Now that I am fully committed, it’s easier, and I love it! It’s about my health, the animals and the planet, for me. There’s no going back.

I don’t use oil other than occasionally sesame for flavor and just a little. Any of the apparent health benefits you can get from it you can get from Whole Foods with more nutritional value.

Food is the most powerful medicine! Moving from the ideal of being thin equals beautiful to healthiness’ beautiful. I think considering that everyone is a very different beauty, in terms of weight, in terms of size, look. I’ve noticed that women are getting skinny thinner and thinner. There’s also so much information about different diets, and overwhelming and confusing… Its good aware of a good diet is to inspire women to make changes to their diet and also their lifestyle, diet, exercise, sleep based on hormone, health, longevity, beauty as well as skin in the future.

I feel very bad about myself. My Dr told me get off being vegan and eat meat and a vegetable. I am so Depressed 😢

No need to feel badly about yourself - the fact that you're here and talking about it means you're looking to make a change. You've got this. Is this something you can discuss with your brother in terms of him understanding that while you appreciate him wanting to cook for you, that you don't want to eat animal products?

What if you have a massive stool one day and the next day the stool is hard and hard to pass? But I feel like I have to go to the toilet and after I dont feel empty and satisfied and feel a little bloated and pass more gas that day. And the day after that I have a massive soft stool again. I eat the same whole food plant based everyday and drink a lot of water.
