This is definitely an interesting concept that I have sort of stumbled upon doing over the last 15 years of bodybuilding basically indirectly. I traditionally would bulk and cut in a multiple month bulk/few week or 1 month max cycle but I found that over the years staying closer to my natural bodyfat (1 month bulk 2 week cut max usually), I mentally had more motivation just from a look standpoint always being slightly leaner. Looking forward to the cut knowing it was closer always helped mentally too.

I needed this! I did a bulk which turned into just eating all the foods. I gained tons of strength but also tons of fat. 20lbs in fact. The 3 on 1 off actually works out great for us women because I naturally am hungrier one week a month! Instead of fighting hunger that week, I'll just listen to my body and eat more. I just bought the mom bundle and I'm excited to get started.

I am starting mini bulk -mini cut cycle for next 2 months. 3 weeks bulk followed by 2 week cut. Will update all.

really looking forward to try minicut/minibulk. I am almost 7 months into my bulk gained around 5 kg in that period so I go at reasonable pace. But I am starting to see more bf than I would like (even though strength is finally going nicely up but I am somewhere around that 15 percent bf mark still visible abs but I am softer for sure). Also I am kind of tired of this traditional approach so time to experiment with 4-6 week bulks and 2-4 week cuts. and maybe I even try 3+1 but I am afraid I start to spinning wheels with such a short cycles (but I am spinning wheels anyway I train 16 years and my muscle gains are really almost not noticeable compared to fat fluctioation during cut/bulk phases even though I can see back and shoulder gains during this bulk that's kind of nice from my body to give me something for my grind lol).

I’ll definitely implement the 3 week bulk 1 week cut strategy. My maintenance is 2400 so I added a 400 calorie surplus to that so 2800 daily and on lifting days I eat 3000 calories. On my cut I will draw it back to 2400 a day and 2600 on lifting days. I’ll test that cycle! Thanks fellas

@@ClassicTor yes exactly I will test that out and if needed on cut weeks I will adjust and start cutting 100-200 calories but I have to see have that first 4th week goes

I’m doing a mini bulk bc I’ve not been able to lift for 1 1/2 months bc recovery from an ACL repair surgery. I’m tryna regain that lost muscle in my upper body so imma def do a 3-4 weeks bulk

That's what I'm doing right now. 4 week bulk, put on maybe 5 pounds total, just to get some strength back. I went on a full cut for 7 months and just got super weak. Lost a lot of weight and built some muscle but dieting hard for that long, killed me. Getting my strength back then going back to a cut for a bit.

He’s 6’7… look up Alexander volkov in the ufc and imagine he lost 15lbs and trained like a bodybuilder (pretty sure he doesn’t do much weightlifting)

So if my goal is predominantly to burn body fat while preserving muscle the suggestion would be to cut for 2 to 3 weeks and bulk for one or two?

Depends on your body ATM. If you're fat, do an aggressive cut for like, idk, a month. Or do an easier cut for 3-4 months then maintenance for a month as a break, then go back on a cut. Hard to say, idk you're physique, fat %, weight, goals, etc. Also don't know if you're a beginner or not.
