She had auditioned in the West End, where she is trying to perform. She has performed on a couple of cruise ships and in a couple of plays. But she has never received the proper amount of respect her obvious talents demand. To date she is working as a receptionist at a gym in London. This is her first appearance on any televised talent show that I can find. You should watch her initial audition singing Tomorrow, and then her final, which won her the BGT top spot, singing Over the Rainbow. I think you will agree with me, her song choices almost seem autobiographical, as she dreams of tomorrow, does it her way and looks over the rainbow. She is amazing, and I want to thank you for such an amazing critique. I will watch you as you explore other entertainers. Thank you for your insight.

Same for me. I am 68 and I have NEVER heard anything like this. Celina, Whitney, Shirley Bassey all rolled into one. She is worth far more than being cast in the West End or Broadway. She is a Diva that needs full-blown solo productions. Every time I have listened to this I am brought to tears and it isn’t even a favourite of mine!

Every judge on every talent show in the world says to auditionees, "If you're going to do a song that everybody knows, and everybody knows who made it famous, do not sing it that way - you have to make it your own." AKA, do it your way. That's what Sydnie did. Only 3 performances on BGT - audition; winning the golden buzzer and catapulting her into the semi-final; crushing that, to make the final - and she takes first prize for not just performing, but transforming three of the most well-known, and tbh, well-worn standards into such emotional showcases of vocal mastery, they might well have been waiting all these decades for Sydnie to bring them to life. Fantastic to see your stunned reaction Britt. Be sure and watch Sydnie do Tomorrow and Somewhere Over the Rainbow! 🙂

I said before...you are a delight to watch, and I will never get enough of Sydnie

When she initially took the stage to sing "Tomorrow" everything was on the line for Sydnie. She could see her friends settled in their lives and careers and knew she couldn't continue going to one audition after another. It's difficult financially. She'd been taking courses to become a personal trainer and if this didn't yield the results she was looking for that would be what she'd be doing. So that Golden Buzzer and the finals win was validation that there was a place for her in show business. Her reaction, her collapse, her tears when Amanda pressed on that Golden Buzzer was one for the ages.

Sydnie is more addictive than crack or heroin. I'm pretty sure i've watched her performances more than a hundred times by now, and i've never experienced that a song can pull you in and give the listener such a spiritual experience before. She hypnotizes her audience with her performance in a way i never thought possible. I simply love her and i hope she understands that Westend or Broadway is not big enough for a talent of her magnitude. She needs to perform in a concerthall or a stadium. She could sell a hundred million or several hundred million albums with that voice. Oh and you my dear have the best reaction channel iv'e ever seen. Loved your reaction video here. I love that you speak from your heart, and I agree with your comments. Like other people I’d love to see your reaction to her other two songs. It’s worth noting that the version of Over the Rainbow that she sang in the final is a Loren Allred arrangement, and you can hear that when she sings; but she made it her own and IMHO better. She initially refused to do Loren’s version out of respect for her, but Loren sent her a message giving her blessing so she did it.

Oooh, she was beyond awesome! She says she worked hard with her BGT coach to make this her song: she indeed made this "My Way" HERS, yes, her "highway" to success! WELCOME to Sydnie's fan club!! She had singing jobs on cruise ships in the Caribbean and one theatre part in Germany, and made small song videos all the time since her late teens, and a couple of other youtube videos, too. This was her first attempt auditioning for BGT: she just couldn't get the right, long term parts in the theatres in England, in London's West End (like Broadway, indeed). Simon is right & wrong: for, tis notorious, if you don't fit the part you're out of luck. She will perform with Loren Allred, as they're also friends now, and sing with many others, and hopefully her own new songs again soon, but it's theatre parts she seeks more than just recordings, as she said. Check out her "Tomorrow", where she introduces herself, and its golden buzzer, before you look at her song that she perfected, in the final! Best do her audition first, for it's WORTH it!

Sydnie said in her audition interview that she wanted to sing on The West End. Apparently, she had been trying for a long time auditioning and not getting a break. I hear that story a lot on BGT with contestants-singers, comedians, and musicians- some of them in their 40s- who never got their breaks until they went on the talent shows and even if they didn't win they got the exposure to a wider audience they needed. Then there are the kids that are so incredible they become stars right away. Sydnie is gonna be a Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli level of performer.

Exactly as Simon said; Sydnie is a Master-class - and; for me, Sydnie is a LEGEND for re-introducing with clarity to the Whole World "The Big Hidden-Science of singing inside-the-song" which, in the Complete Process, the Performing Singer can become the Song her-self. Beyond doubt, you are right, Sydnie is at par with Celine and Many of the Top-class International Female Singers. Godspeed.

Everything they said is spot on. One thing people leave out is her diction. She knows how to open and close every word so you can hear the consonants, but without it sounding excessive. In vocal warm-ups, we you to have to say "From the tip of the tongue to the teeth to the lips" 5 times fast for dictuon then on a note sing it. She does everything perfect the swells at the end, the breathing, and up to the final crescendo and then cut it off with out a sound. Perfection

Her initial debut on BGT was a firestorm. She sang Tomorrow, From Annie. Simon DOES NOT like the song Tomorrow. However, Watch Simon's reaction as Sydnie does her version. Captivating. Sydnie has profected her style and craft and it is Smashing. She has a great sense of humor. Just hearing her talk, you feel comfortable and at peace. But when she switches everything out, she is LASER focused on her craft to sing. I've heard she's got an acting background. BIG FREAKING DEAL.
