Hi Jade! I love your videos and I think you're super sweet! I wanted to ask you if Diet Coke could be an alternative? I just know that Diet Coke doesn't technically have sugar in it. Just wondering!
@oliviajane311 Жыл бұрын
@@mychanneltowatchstuffff112 I know you asked her, but the aspartame is a huge downside despite having no sugar or calories. The FDA approval of aspartame was very shady and there are numerous negative side effects. Not only that, but the taste will likely just make you crave more sugar and it's a waste of money and stomach space. Nourish your body!
@oliviajane311 Жыл бұрын
@@mychanneltowatchstuffff112 Also if you need to use a sweetener, stevia is a great, natural alternative. And you only need a fraction of the amount.

Yes yes yes sugar is huge addiction. I always think it's the biggest reason people have such a hard time losing weight, on and off yo-yo dieting. Very good advice!

Just wanted to mention…glucose is not immediately stored as fat in the body. Glucose is stored as glycogen in our muscle cells and in the liver. When there’s an excess of it, that’s when it is stored as fat. So sugar does not inherently cause weight gain. An excess of calories (from any source) will cause weight gain.
@iamrouve11 ай бұрын
Thank you for saying this, a lot of people are unaware of that and will cut sugar completely out of their diet.
@kimik018898 ай бұрын
@@iamrouvethis is true. But the main point is about the ADDICTION level of sugar. It's not just about excessive calories. Sugar makes people very addicted unlike vegetables. There's a reason why people cut out sugar, because for lots of people it makes weight loss not feel like such a chore and hassle. Keeps that binge monster away. Everyone is not the same, but for most sugar is very addictive. And humans went a long time without processed sugars, so let's not act like it's crazy to give it up😊

i never consider the sugar content in fruit, I think all fruit & vegetables are fantastic for you and the sugar in them is not the same as eating an artificial sugar. So don’t be worried about eating any fruits & veggies! ☺️ also thanks for your channel, you motivated me to lose weight. Just lost 3Kg in the last month. 😁

Dear Jade-Rose, Thank you so much for this video! I am sincerely sorry that the type 2 diabetes is something that your family/your loved ones have to go through/live with 😔 But thank you for being open and honest and especially for sharing your tips and not hiding the truth that the change can be hard - although with so many benefits once you’ve done it!.. Since arriving in London I have been struggling with pretty much a sugar addiction (given the quality of fruits and vegetables offered at supermarkets, no wonder one would reach for a yet another Cadbury’s chocolate bar when it’s so conveniently on promotion), but I really feel it is time to get serious about my health and my future. Thank you for the inspiration! ❤️

So with me I might not even crave sugar and be fine with Whole Foods but if there is a lot of sugary food options like pastries on the table in front of me like at a party or whatnot THEN it’s so hard to say no and what’s even more triggering is when other people are eating it and enjoying it. You it’s really if There is sugar around me.

I have a question. Is sugar the only thing you need to cut off or do you also have to be like careful when eating fried food. Im Pakistani so oil is a big part of our diet. Should I cut that off too or just the sugar and then to portion control and mindful eating for everything else.

I have a problem which is cutting out sugar but not the ‘obvious’ sugars more like stuff that acts like sugar once you digest them like bread, and pastas for example those are part of my most favorite foods and I constantly crave eating those things I really don’t know how to stop wanting to eat them and I think they’re a major reason why I’m having a hard time losing weight. It’s getting dangerous to the point I’m on the verge of being obese and I also do come from a family prone to diabetes. And I really don’t know how to start I don’t have any creativity when it comes to cooking at home.. I enjoy all the vegetables I enjoy fruits, not one to have actual sugar cravings and even like eating stuff like lentils and yogurt but I just don’t know how to combine foods and make something I like and it’s like a loop I just end up not eating /eating things that are bad for me because I’m bored of the same stuff. (I love your channel it has helped me learn a lot of things) Thank you.

You have to nourish your body throughout the day, night hunger is when you’ll make bad decisions 💔 Why don’t you start by finding out what your fav vegetables and fruit are. Then you can eat half of a normal portion of what your mum makes and the other half of your plate you can replace with your fav vegetables. Will fill you up, you can still enjoy dinner with your family and it’s still healthier. What I eat: I love to eat stir fried vegetables - my favourite vegetables are mushrooms, peppers broccoli and aubergine. For breakfast, I almost always have omelettes, maybe try an omelette? Or fruit and yogurt, My fav fruit are strawberries and blueberries
