Delts on fire. Really liked this new shoulder press banded variation. And yes, getting disgusted with ____ (fill in the blank) can lead us to needed and beneficial change.

Yeah I liked that one as well 👊

James, thanks for all the informative ammunition support you've given here. As a beginner and 49yrs old. How many reps would you recommend as a good start? Thank you.
@JamesGrage4 ай бұрын
Happy to share my friend. I personally think beginners should start with 15-20 reps, for several reasons: 1. It promotes better and more disciplined technique as you’re learning 2. It promotes better mind-muscle connection, allowing you to really focus on getting a good squeeze and learning to feel the muscle contract 3. It minimizes risk of injury while learning all of the above.

Are behind the neck presses worth doing? I never do them. I'm 60, but even when I was in my teens they never felt right. But I was watching a video of a famous bodybuilder (you might know him) and he was doing them, so it got me wondering. I messed up my scapula in 2021 as a result, of all things, falling off a bicycle. I still feel a little crick back there.

Yeah some people still promote them. I personally don’t like them. I used to do them early in my training and even at a young age they led to shoulder pain from impingement - BUT everyone is built different. Some people can do them with no problems.

What’s up my friend! That’s a great question. Once we get it rolling over here in the US we’ll start looking at expanding it.

Hey James, following you every step on this journey! I too hit the age of 50 in November!! Before this I’ve been a bit slack on training but not now, you’ve got me back into it👌🏼 I’ve said before it was you that got me into bands… I have a home gym ( not as pretty as yours ) but personally bands are amazing!! They are my go to.👍🏼

This one made me laugh because I'm 60 now and started to train in 7th grade (1977). I was always in very good shape, maybe not as good as James because it was pre-internet days and I never truly knew what I was doing. A lot of it was just watching other guys in the gym and doing what felt right. I never paid attention to my diet. i ate a lot of McDonalds and Burger King. I have no idea how much protein I got. I just ate. In 2009, I totally stopped working out (chick heartbreak). By 2019, I was a fatso. Then getting back into shape was tough because my mind still wanted to lift the same weight, but for the first time in my life I was hurting myself and then needing to take time off. I never used to get hurt. Heck, in 2021 I ended up in the hospital for 3 days as a result of friggin falling off my bicycle! But I laughed because very few people would think James is fat or too heavy. I finally couldn't take it anymore when I could no longer even use the first hole in my belt after already buying a bigger belt years ago. I went from having a 28-30 inch waist, to maybe a 38. I use the same belt every morning to measure my progress. I can now use the 3rd hole comfortably, but still have a ways to go.

ever since a few years ago when james first started doing these band videos he has deteriorated physically quite a bit. and deneyed it when i said it a few years ago and now looking at him it has gotten MUCH worse. stop pissing around with bands and go back to lifting. used to be a great health tuber. not fpr a few years though
