The pioneer daughter (25years old) of an elder got pregnant by a (very alfa male) very married circuit (45) overseer while serving where the need is great in South America. When she came back to our congregation in Sweden: No announcement, no disfellowshiping was made. She used big clothing in order to hide her pregnancy. A few month later BOOOOMMM!!! a baby was born out of nowhere. This pioneer daughter is nephew to the right hand of the society circuit overseer graduated in Gillead Scholl. I went in shock when I saw the circuit overseer, the district overseer and many preceeding elders eating with her and the baby at the next convention as nothing had happened. After that the rumors went on and the body of elders gave a warning talk to our congregation telling us to be very careful about slander because we were risking to be disfellowshipped. This shows that it is good to have good connections in the WT.

I know an elder from the Mayagüez, English congregation in Puerto Rico, owner of a million-dollar business, who was always invited to the annual meeting. His name is David Wishinsky. You might have met him. We all knew that money talks and that always bothered me. He is one of those elders that no one liked. But he had the cash.

Our previous circuit overseer is a money collector in every cong. The biggest provider is always be on top on parts of assembly etc. and the teaching was terrible.

your story about an elder with a powerful position reminded me of the time I was in my 1st and only year as an elder. I was assigned to go over the questions for baptism with a teenager. And the responses given to just about every question sounded like questions themselves. They were not answered in a confident way. Those responses gave me the impression that the person was not ready for baptism and needed to delay immersion. Well, when I reported my observations and concerns to a particular elder [in fact, I served as his MS assistant in the book study at his home], he dismissively overrode my judgement on the matter and the elder body ended up recommending baptism. I thought he or I would share my concerns with the rest of the body. But it didn't turn out that way. That person got baptized and within just a couple of years became inactive. I tried to warn them...and that's all you can do.

That’s interesting. I always knew all the information really well as far as what they teach whether I agreed with it or not so I had no trouble answering the questions. So obviously I was allowed to get baptized, but had a lot of doubts mainly because of the behavior of the people. But I went ahead with baptism because I figured it just made sense to make that next step since I knew the information so well. It only recently dawned on me that I spent more time inactive than active and became inactive within about 5 years of getting baptized but technically been baptized 2 decades.

I'm an ex bethelite who just loves your bethel stories... The Nairobi,Kenya branch Branch Committee Coordinator ( black American) was a voting member and flew first class to Brooklyn every year to attend the annual meeting The voting American brother was very powerful ..he had close connections to the Governing Body and it was so obvious that the other brothers on the branch committee ( especially the local brothers )had no voice . The Zone Overseer gave a talk saying that the position of the Branch Committee Chairman rotated each year with every brother on the branch committee having a turn...he went on to say that Brother H was not the leader...but we know it was all bs , Brother H was the Coordinator regardless of who was the chairman... A few years ago,he and all the branch committee was removed and replaced with new members, all westerners except one local brother .. That was after the GB had instructed branch offices to downsize the number of bethelites and the Nairobi Branch Committee did not comply. The powerful coordinator was sent back to New York bethel...I doubt he has any power there. The rest were sent to the field .

@@ExJWCriticalThinker Being sent to the FIELD would have hit him and wife so hard...they hardly ever went preaching, door knocking , they mostly got in their time in comfort from studies who were referred to them , studies who came to bethel for their studies . After waking up ,I learned that even Rutherford never went door knocking ...and doubt that the GB do it either.

When I moved, I joined a new congregation, and I don't think I had even been announced yet, maybe a month or two had gone by. One meeting they were holding a vote for something, and I was unclear on what it was for, as I did not have the backstory. So I simply did not vote, I just kept my hand down. Unfortunately I sit near the front of the hall, so basically everyone noticed. One sister my age (who knew me from when I was little) walked by me and gave me a dirty looked and asked if I was trying to be a rebel. Then an elders wife thought I was falling out of the truth and was deeply concerned about me. She was relieved after to learn why I did not vote. She then explained to me that you don't need to know what it's for, the body of elders had already reviewed the proposal and this is what they were recommending and we were to just go along with it. lol

@@KefashWhite it wasn't easy at first but I have a few other brothers and sisters that are also PIMO and we share our thoughts, anger and frustration. But at First it was very scary. I was able to let go of the " apostate" fear by listen to JT and other channels like this. Now I make Peace with it. My friends and I think " the only way out of this organisation is through it" so I will remain a M.S Pimo so I can help waking up other friends and family

@@rmh490 I’m glad to know you have others at the hall you can confide in. The hardest part for me as a PIMO was preaching to others in the ministry. Then one Sunday while leaving the ministry I asked myself if this is what I really want to be doing with my life. Then I met someone online who helped me out without getting disfellowship. I’ve lost contact with him but I’m truly greatly him. I hope you continue to be strong in helping those you can as a PIMO.

I actually was invited to the 2012 annual meeting at WT Farm in Wallkill. It was horrid. Sat in that auditorium for 6 hours listening to a half dozen of the governing body try to explain their new idea of "generation". I went home that day with a numb mind. One year later I was officially out.

Also this same elder was to give a talk out of town and for whatever reason, he asked me to substitute. I assumed he had let the PO/talk coordinator know per standard protocol. Boy was I wrong! I give the talk, the friends there welcomed me and thanked me warmly for the visit. At my next home meeting, the PO gave me a good talking to about not informing him that I was giving a talk out of town. I never made that assumption again! Even when other elders asked me to substitute and assured me that they already let the PO know, I double checked it and made sure.

She even knew about 607 was not right. I'm thinking to myself., why did you continue to go attend meetings if you didn't agree with everything. She still thinks the governing body is of the anointed. I asked her "How do you know, she reads bible scripts, I say "No Mom, how do you know those 7 men in NY are anointed. She can't answer the question. My mom compares the new world translation to Kings James and New American Standard Bible she has found how words have change, or added. This is deeply imbedded in her mind. It's scary sometimes.

Jt I was one of those that humbly in some occasions voted against as I knew it meant nothing and it didn't have to be unanimous. I helped in the accounts for some years and knew that money had already been spent. I didn't question back then. And yes, I was "taught humulity" by many times low paid, low educated people that thought they had some god given right to tell others how to behave. Venting

The annual meeting usually refers to the Pennsylvania corporation, does it not? You never really hear much about the New York corporation. Does that entity still have annual meetings?

Do CCJW and the other corporate instruments have the same voting members again? These are the things that keep me up at night. As you obviously already know, they use these corporations for legal shell games to hide things from the government. WTPA can't answer the question because that's a question for CCJW.
