@@JenniferGlatzhofer : I learned about Beth through reaction channels and have been hooked. She and Joe Bonamassa are musical prodigies and together they are EPIC. What Beth can do with her voice is, IMO, a once in a generation experience to behold. Like Prince, or Freddie.

Beth as always with the appreciation and class she has ....if she sees a reaction to her music she always comments and that just blows my mind . She's my favorite female artist ever . I ran across this very song right here a few years ago and had never heard of her 😂 Instantly! Hooked ! Me say that again! Hooked 😂 I absolutely love her voice and she has been to Hell and back if I have to say it like that and you would have to read about her struggles back when she was young and just starting. One of the most Amazing People and Singers I've ever seen or heard .

Finally arrived at Beth Hart, one of the greatest singers alive. As vocal coach you might be interested in "Caught out in the Rain" live at Royal Albert Hall and ""I Rather Go Blind " with Joe Bonamassa live in Amsterdam 2012. Remarkable, how she is working with the microphone in these performances. For some background about her listen to "Leave The Light On" also from the Royal Albert Hall concert (2018)

I first remember hearing Beth in 1999on the radio while in LA area. Thank for video. From the moment I saw Beth's first video, I knew she was divine. Her pieces :"Am I the one" ( live at Paradiso Amsterdam) "Mama this one's for you" and the beautiful "I'd rather go blind" (in Amsterdam) are really crazy for the strength the first, the tenderness the second and the anger despair and sweetness of the last, are a panorama of her ability to immerse herself in the characters, and make them live to everyone who sees and listens to her. Thank you Beth for these gifts ! !❤ Love from Italy.Roma.

I've been to a couple of her shows way back around the time where this was recorded. Probably the same tour. It was phenomenal. She is the exact opposite of any televised talent-show performance. Just a completely and utterly raw, personal performance and a real talent. She was walking around down on the floor between us as well. Touching my shoulder as she went trough the audience :-). She was engaging and fun. Borrowing a lighter from someone in the crowd to light a cigarette, telling stories and cursing like a sailor. It was a night, balancing just on the right side of the fine line between crazy and brilliant :-).

Welcome to the world of Beth Hart ! She is one of the great blues singers on the planet today ! She is a seasoned professional who's been performing for over 30 years ! She turns 50 this year ! If you have ever heard the singer Janis Joplin then you can really relate to her sound and artistry ! She has a gritty, growly , raspy, deep and dynamic voice ! Apparently she is a contralto ! Her performances are a must see event ! Her prominence and fame gathered momentum in Europe and Denmark where she has won numerous awards ! I think she such a throw back to the gritty blues singers of the past ! I thought your reaction and analysis were so accurate ! I can see you enjoyed Beth's l freedom, flexibility and vocal ability immensely ! I'm sure this is a difficult style to sing and only a few artists can accomplish ! I hope you give it a try one day and enjoy this type of vocal challenge ! Thank you Jenn for reacting to one of the few remaining classic blues singers ! Keep posting that was a great one !! 🤗👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️

A lot of people compare Beth to Janis Joplin which is wrong, Janis was a magical singer but her life was cut to short. I do not think we saw Janis's true potential or how far she could of gone. Happy to see you’ve finally found BETH HART. I enjoyed your analysis. This was 2004-this is nothing. At this time she did mostly Rock and Blues-Rock. She’s expanded into Blues, Jazz, and Soul, and as always, continues to incorporate elements of Classical, Gospel, and R&B. Since this time, she’s toured twice with Jeff Beck; has cut 3 cover albums with Joe Bonamassa; and collaborated with many other top guitarist (Slash; Warren Haynes; Eric Gales; Kenny Wayne Shepherd, etc.). For a voice coach, try any of the following: “Caught Out in The Rain” (2018)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqvHe5ltfdanqs0 “I’d Rather Go Blind”(2014)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3arqIKViqqjbaM “I’ll Take Care of You” (2011) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4fXpWBjaM9mack “Whole Lotta Love” (2012)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/oobEpqdoopmMl6s “A Change is Gonna Come” (2010)-kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5-sfWt3gLyFhLM “Mama” (2004)- kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3zChZ17aZtkfNE And she has a Led Zeppelin tribute album coming out in 6 weeks…

Comments Add a comment... MyStress Tess 1 second ago I saw her 2 weeks ago in San Diego, she was supposed to play for 2 hours, she played for 3, much of the last hour was her and her piano alone. I have seen many videos with her at other people's concerts, where the band she went to see pulls her up to sing with them. She's a very exciting artist, especially live. Because of covid, sitting at the edge of the stage was as close to her people as she could get, she lamented this multiple times. This was one of the best performances I've ever seen. Such passion, she's prone to tears when she performs, and she just feels, and oozes the music. Bad Woman Blues, Love is a Lie, Woman Down, Badest Blues, and LA Song live on my playlist in perpetuity. They play well with my run of Cyndi Lauper and her Memphis Blues, filled with blues standards. First time watching you, nice to meet you! Enjoy!

I think this is right after her bipolar diagnosis, if I'm not mistaken. That unhingedness, if you will, that's just so amazing to see in the performance is, in part, I think, fueled immensely by her bipolar disorder. This is her in the midst of getting herself back together if I'm not mistaken, after having what she described in a concert once as "a collapse". For her in a much more refined, not that this was messy in a bad way, as you herself said, I'd recommend for you to react to Caught Out In the Rain at the Royal Albert Hall. You can see that same drive she has here but in what I consider to be a much healthier way, I'm assuming after starting treatment for her diagnosis, and also just older in life, with the proper maturity that brings as well. But yeah, she's just completely wild, it's amazing
