And it fits with Batman's arc. He's trying to get the team together. Antagonizing everyone like he did in the theatrical cut is completely unfounded. Whedon just went and changed Batman to Iron man in that scene, but he forgot Iron Man, unlike Batman in JL, never believed he belonged or needed a team in Avengers 1 when they have that argument.
@FireflyArc3 жыл бұрын
I agree. 12:37 in the video shows a man who's..trying to rally people up the only way he knows how. Make them angry at him but working with each other if not with him. So confrontational. He's Still Angry about whats going on. And the biggest one pushing for them not being enough. They need superman. And in the end man, he was right. In that version made it seem like superman arrived and was just better then everyone, outclassed them. Compared to the Snyder cut, where he is visibly relieved to be part of a team and they are a team, everyone has a role to play. Back to batman He's smiling, happy in this version, very relieved the idea is working and the decision to bring superman back was everyone's choice. Even if reluctant in some cases, they had backing for it beyond..'.batman said we should do it. ' Its such a good change.

Barry Allen IS a scientist. He is not just a college nerd as what he was kinda reduced to in the Josstice League. I mean, his 'batcave' here in the Snyder Cut looks legit as a base of operations. In the Josstice League, everything was reduced to being comical. Barry Allen is not comical. He makes jokes but he is on a mission to solve the murder of his mother. His father's in jail. This dude is doing everything on his own, working countless jobs not just to become an accomplished weeb. He has one of the most depressing backstories ever and he makes jokes. the irony of his character perfectly mimics how lonely and sad people often laughs at almost everything. but when you get them to talk about what they really feel, you'll realize that the reason why they are making jokes and is always trying to be funny is because they are holding soooo much pain inside. all of these nuances were destroyed when the blackpink track plays out. not saying the flash couldn't listen to kpop. i'm saying the distractions in the background takes a lot of meaning to who barry allen really is as he was being introduced to us now. when bruce is describing the flash's suit which is supposed to be incredible, the rick and morty show playing in the background is sooo distracting, i never felt once that i had to be amazed because barry allen customized that suit on his own.

I like what the composer did with Ironman 3 and Thor the dark world. But age of ultron flounders and Danny elfmans theme that he did for that final battle didn't feel like it had that much weight. I think Fiege wanted infinity war and endgame to feel more epic and be the true avengers sequel.
@dntm1233 жыл бұрын
Well here's the thing with Age of Ultron. While a lot of the music isn't very memorable and is just quite bland, it DID use Silvestri's theme at crucial moments (like not remixes, but the actual tracks from the first movie). Like the opening action scene with the one take of the Avengers battling Hydra, it's "I Got a Ride" from the first movie and it works so perfectly. Same with the final scene of the movie, it has the Avengers theme in all it's glory. It was something I noticed when looking at the soundtrack on it's own, which had all of the Brian Tyler and Danny Elfman stuff, but I only ever remembered hearing the flourishes of Silvestri's music from the actual movie, with the exception of the final battle which I remembered hearing Elfman and Tyler's theme, which just felt like a watered down remix of the Avengers theme.
@TheTurbanator1233 жыл бұрын
@@dntm123 its quite ironic. I mean buffy and angel two shows i love are currently on disney plus in the wrong aspect ratio and color grading. That there was so much extra footage for age of ultron (I've heard 4 hours) and joss whedon and fiege dont believe in extended cuts. Meaning the film we get in theatres is the film we will only ever get. To see junkie XL return for snyder cut and its four hours is ultimate vindication. Sure a story teller should be able to tell a story under two hours. But if there is a better story or version why keep it from the audience if it will generate good will. I feel bad for whedon slightly since he wanted black panther and captain marvel in age of ultron. I recommend people just read the comic age of ultron is based on its much darker with citizens being killed and their bodies being used as ultron puppet bots. Black Panther is also really cool in that arc. Anyways joss whedon is an asshole. Also you nailed it by saying watered down avengers remix.
@rushpan933 жыл бұрын
@@TheTurbanator123 i think killing Ultron off was another thing they maybe could have avoided. Just when he seemed like a growing threat, the avengers defeated him pretty easily in the end. If they'd have kept him imprisoned or disabled and leave a possibility of him coming back later, the stakes would have felt higher i think. I always feel kill the villain if they're made to look like an unstoppable force and the threat they possess is too great, or if there's zero chance they'll ever side with the good guys. Zod, Killmonger are great examples. All that said, I still sort of enjoyed AoU. Also, the only film where some hero dies for good in the movie's climax.

The only thing I didn't like from the OST is the Amazons' theme. That "female cry-singing" was nice in the Gladiator, at the time of Troy was released it was already abused, now it's just redundant and annoying to me.

The bring superman arc is so fun in the synder cut. Not just the dialogue but the slow and quiet scene of digging up his body leading into the charged and action packed scene of actually reviving him with dropping the mother box and flashs runs to provide a charge. Vic's vision as he sees the chain of events. Dude I would have loved to see that shit in theatres.

One other way you could explain Elfman's score in the terrorist attack scene is that he was simply scoring from the villain's perspective. The fancy, piano-heavy orchestration, the tempo matching his footsteps, the more indifferent tone - it's the kind of music that makes you want to tent your fingers like Mr. Burns and whisper "Excellent..."
@Cheeks7303 жыл бұрын

i would have loved if FLASH was the guy in this scene instead of wonderwoman coz him dealing with the terrorists would have made more sense in the way dodging the bullets or even maybe phasing through them flash defusing the bomb in nanoseconds would have been a cool speedster character introduction coz most of the audiences knew who wonderwoman is etc
