And it makes me sick to hear her crying because she knows she’s getting fired but doesn’t even bother to think of how a citizen feels when she draws a weapon on an innocent man. More proof that officers only care about themselves and not us.

@@gabehayes1833 "She needed to de-escalate . . . " Absolutely! That's the stupidest part about all of this - if she'd simply _apologised_ for being so aggressive, _acknowledged_ that it turned out to be unnecessary, and treated her victim like a human being instead of a 'perp,' then this wouldn't have blown up nearly so much. It's the doubling down, and the insistence that she's right and he's wrong, and the stubborn refusal to even _consider,_ let alone acknowledge her mistake, that got her fired. Even if you *_know,_* without a shadow of a doubt, that you're in the right, an apology will still help calm things down. Any other job - a retail worker, restaurant staff, a janitor - if they get in a screaming match with a member of the public, insisting that they take the blame, they're getting fired *_that day._* Why are teenaged McDonald's serfs held to a higher standard than *_COPS_* FFS?!
