When I was a child, my father and I used to watch Malcolm Douglas cooking in the bush and off the coast of Australia on the TV. Your videos are like a Welsh version of that and I really enjoy watching them. Keep up the good work! Cheers

I love the smell of gorse flowers! Almost tropical. I've never thought of eating them in salads or cooking or whatever though. Intriguing. Pennywort sounds delicious too. I look forward to coming across some at some point. Well done for getting out on such a challenging sounding day :) Much love, Hannah x

Hi Hannah,if you gather enough flowers,I mean a good pint. Put ! drop of vanilla essence on top 6 teaspoons of sugar and pour on a pint of boiling water,leave to steep for at least 10 minutes,----delicious and thirst quenching,regards Craig

Coastal Foraging With Craig Evans Good grief, that sounds amazing! Makes me think of all the delicious elderflowery delights that will be here in a few months 😍 Luckily you can pretty much always find gorse flowers - "kissing's in season when gorse is in bloom" 😘

Hi Craig, love your videos! Please would you do a video on which coastal crab are edible and how to identify them? Are there any that are no no to forage for. Again on mushrooms too please. I look forward to finally getting my question answered, I have looked online and found very little info. Thanks Dave
@coastalforagingwithcraigev8447

Thank you Dave,great idea to make video just on crabs and showing all the species that occur locally.They are all edible subject to minimum size limits. I am not a mushroom expert ,but I do know to identify a few,because of this I do not feel confident in producing a mushroom video. Kind regards Craig

I love the smell of gorse flowers, when i was a boy during the summer my family used to go to Rhossili and walk along the cliff tops and the smell of the gorse would be so strong you could smell it from quite a distance, whenever i smell gorse flowers now it reminds me of Rhossili

Thanks for braving the cold and windy conditions to make another great foraging video. I notice you always add a bit of your roasted lobster shell powder to your cooking. What does it tyaste like and what does it do to the dish? Cheers.

Craig your rock turning technique man...You are going to pull your back and Be out of action...please try and keep your back straight when turning the rock and not rounded...The rounding of the back is really dangerous....turn with your shoulders and arms and not back..Please mate

I found it very interesting to learn that scarlet Elf Cup was a wood eating fungus. Many of them around here are inedible or taste of wood. I live in Texas and you may be surprised to know that it grows like wildfire over here. Originally from ornamental ponds, it grew into creeks and ponds like mad. Good to know that it may be edible. Depending on water quality of course.

Hi RaeSyngKane,Scarlet Elf Caps/Cups are not the most delicious fungus,but add interest and colour to a foraged meal. I would strongly recommend that you positively identify your fungus species before you attempt to eat them,regards Craig
