Most shots are stopped down a little. Probably around T4 or f/4.0.

Did you get any wobbling or vibrations with this camera-gimbal combo?
@MichaelDeVowe Жыл бұрын
No, as long as it's properly balanced and Hyper Smooth is turned on the gimbal.

How do you get the audio on separate channels with the rode go II?
@MichaelDeVowe Жыл бұрын
I use the included stereo cable into the BMPCC4K and set the left & right channels to coincide with L&R on the Rode Wireless GO 2.

Great video! Not everyday reviewers talk about gear and show BTS footage at the same time. I am was thinking about getting the Weebill S with the tilta nano follow focus. It is a lot cheaper. What do you think?
@MichaelDeVowe2 жыл бұрын
What camera are you running? The Weebill S has a focus motor attachment available so you wouldn't need the nano.

Hi, running the pocket 4K. I like the idea of getting the tilta nano so I can use it on my tripod as well and also minutes on my shoulder. Now I need to choose a gimbal.

I'm on the fence about purchasing a gimbal for my bmpcc4k. I hate all the extra crap that has to be plugged in to make it "work." No only that, the RS2 is pricey as hell. I've seen a few people balance the pocket camera on the RSC2, which is half the price. My main concerns are 1) the weight of the camera + gimbal on my arms/back, 2) powering the camera with some Frankenstein battery solution and 3) focusing on the move via the focus motor. Any thoughts/advice? Thanks!

same...really wanna get the rsc2 for the bmpcc4k but weight and balancing is my main concern, I've seen people use the bm 4k on rsc2 without any issues tho...u just need to make sure the lens isn't too big and heavy and if ure going for a heavy setup u can also get a small counterweight which isn't expensive...it will still be smooth. What I really wanna know is if u can use it with a cage on the rsc2
@Victor-Rojas2 жыл бұрын
@@elvinp.s5494 I purchased the RSC2 and have been able to balance my pocket 4k with a cage and the lightweight Panasonic 25mm 1.7 lens. But no success with my canon 24-105...that seems to require a counterweight, which I haven't purchased yet. So not sure just yet.

@@Victor-Rojas alright, thanks for for letting me know bout the cage man🙏🏽... definitely get a counter weight for your bigger lenses...the bmpcc4k is way lighter than the 6k so it should work properly! Lemme know how well it is if u ever do tho, I dnt have heavy lenses yet!

I know this is a bit late, but RS2 Pro combo is now quite cheap, it's actually quite insane how much it offers for that price Your not just getting a gimbal, your getting a wireless follow focus and a wireless monitor system It should be able to comfortably hold heavy lenses, I own a sigma art 18-35 it's an insanely heavy lens for just an 18-35 You definitely need a counterweight

hey mate, i use very simillar setup with my bmpcc4k with zhiyun weebill S, but i use same battery for counterweight :) nothing is unnecesaarry weight on my setup. Bmpcc4k Metabones 0.64x canon 24-70 F4 (goes F2.6) Cfast 256gb angelbird Weebill S ( plus L bracket, Monitor holder on left, extra handle for low angle + smallrig npf convertor with NPF770 for extra power and counterweight ) Zhiyun Transmount Controll Motor 2.0 ( Follow focus ) Atomos Shinobi
@MichaelDeVowe2 жыл бұрын
That's very much like my previous setup with the Weebill S! You can actually see the battery counterweight you're describing at 0:28 - 0:30. Sounds like you've got a solid setup!

Hey man ! Sorry to bother you, I had the weebill S atm and I'm trying not to spending on a new gimbal. I want to ask you a question regarding the balancing of the bmpcc4k, are your camera slightly lean on the left side ? Since, there's no space for me to move the camera to the right side. How did you rig the npf battery to counterweight the balance ? I'm a newbie here. I'm glad if you could share your thoughts. Thanks !
@akcivan2 жыл бұрын
@@ammeirfitri2318 hello bro, you need a clamp attach your battery holder to gimbal. Search aliexpress with "gimbal counterweight mounting clamp kit" and then "sony npf battery adapter" you will understand what you need 👍

@@akcivan now it's all make sense. I never thought about the clamping kit. Brilliant idea btw ! Thanks for the sharing man. Really appreciate it !
