I saw Nugent in the late 70s and it was the best concert I'd ever been to. I stood 2 rows back from the stage and the decibels were so loud that it felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest and afterwards I couldn't hear anything but loud ringing in my ears for 3 days. When he came out and started playing STRANGLEHOLD the whole crowd went wild. He did the guitar solo for over 20 minutes.

It was mentioned already but in the 70s if you were 16 to 18 you would be treated as adults. I started working at age 10 many people were getting married at 18. When I married at 23 people questioned why I waited so long to marry. It also wasn't unusual for girls to date people who were 5 years older since maturity levels of boys usually lag. Ted Nugent was and still is a person who likes to shock. I've never been a fan but he is talented.
