Trash is trash though, nothing new or unexpected. What gets me though is the judge! Pause and watch the facial expressions of the judge. Even when the behavior of the black defendant is unbelievably unacceptable, the judge is actually smiling, and talks to the defendant as if she were a 6 year old child. Very soft, very protective, even as the black woman rolled her eyes at the judge over and over. Then as she turns her head to the white women, her face turns into a scowl and she becomes much colder in spite of the white woman being the victim who was only trying to help people. I see this trend OVER AND OVER again. Black people are treated as children that can do no wrong, and white people in her court, especially males, she holds to the absolute highest standards and is short tempered with.

The child support thing was crazy on the defendant’s part, but JM was actually wrong when she said that you’re not owed child support once you turn 18. If the father is in arrears on court-ordered child support, depending on the state, the arrears may be closed out 10 years after the child turns 18, (e.g., Michigan) or there may be NO statue of limitation, (e.g., Georgia), and if need be, the arrears can, and WILL be deducted from your Medicare. I know of someone who is having child support garnished from his Medicare payments right now, which is absolutely PATHETIC.

The plaintiff said that she was told that the step-mom cut her off from child support, which is not possible. If there is/was a child support order in place, he'd be obligated to pay. Now, whether he's current or in arrears idk, but if he owes back child support, they could possibly make his wife responsible for it. Nevertheless, I just think that's some stuff she cooked up w/ her mom based off of anger and false information.
@Ash-839 ай бұрын
@Lynette51186 actually, a mother (or father if he's the recipient) can in fact request the cessation of child support AS LONG AS no one in the household is on medicaid. They can also request that any and all arrears be dismissed as well. I was informed of that exact information when we had out child support hearing years ago. My ex-husband is in arrears for both of our children, he is still paying for our son who is 18 but our state says as long as he's enrolled in college he receives support until he's 21. And he will continue to pay support for both of our children for months after our daughter ages out because of his arrears. It sounds like mom made a deal with dad a while back but has been lying to the daughter saying he owed money, my godfathers first wife lied to their daughter her whole life telling her he never paid anything but he paid religiously every month once they split, now she's angry at her dad and his new wife abd swears he owes her 18 years worth of child support even though he did pay.

I’m missing something here… The defendant may be a piece of work, but the plaintive is one as well. You can totally see the disconnect. Stop calling her a stepmom she just so happen to have married her father. There is too much animosity for them to have that kind of relationship.
