Here is a simple Qigong routine that can help increase a feeling of inner and outer peace.
Qigong routine begins at 4:00
There is no doubt that we are experiencing some challenging times. Whether it is personally, within our families, within our communities, or within our global family - we are experiencing some ‘turbulence.’
This can result in:
- stress, tension
- anxiety, worry
- feeling of a lack of control
- frustration, anger
- a feeling of disconnection and hopelessness
While we may not be able to instantly ‘fix’ all these worldwide challenges - we can always help ourselves with this simple Qigong routine!

I'm Jeffrey Chand, an acupuncturist, practitioner of Traditional Chinese medicine, and Qigong instructor.
I am incredibly passionate about sharing simple Qigong practices because I have directly witnessed how helpful it can be for a variety of health issues, prevention, emotional/mental health, and even spiritual health.
The style that I try to present is simple but effective, because it is based on several Qigong traditions, clinical experience, physical therapy, traditional and modern medicine, and from working with many people from a variety of backgrounds.
This style can be practiced if you are an absolute beginner and if you already have experience in Qigong or Tai Chi.

Love these simple practices. Been doing Jeff’s “10 minute” Quigong practice for about a year now, easy and available on a daily basis. The importance of daily practice he emphasizes makes sense. My 10 minute routine clocks in at about 20 by now as I added the deeper squatting version of “hands scooping up on inhale, fanning out on exhale” to the squat exercise Jeff gives in the original 10 minute practice. This is a nice pared down version. The mantra I use here is “Relax as it is”, a phrase which has proven useful when driving, which can easily devolve into stressful encounters. “Relax as it is” operates as a reality check on two fronts. One: the situation exists so there’s no point denying it. And two: the way it is may not be to my liking, but, as the Borg in Star Trek say, “Resistance is futile.” You must accept reality before you can relate to it in a positive manner. It’s important to understand that acceptance is not necessarily acquiescence. Anyway, I’m grateful for Jeff’s teachings.

I can't emphsise too much the importance of regular practise. The effect is accumulative. Ten minutes every day is better than an hour once a week

I have been practicing your routines for 4 or 5 days now, and this morning my back and hip released for the first time in 10 years. The long-held pattern of bracing and pain is dissipating, and I felt strong and solidly rooted into the earth. Thank you Jeff. These videos are helping me a ton!

Hi! Thanks so much, just found your channel and loving it. Im going through difficulties with health and after implementing some of the simple qigong moves you show, i feel like it helps. I have a question: I read somewhere practicing qigong when qi is depleted can be bad, or qigong practice should be adapted / low level. What do you think of this idea?

My peace filled memory took me to the recent dry spell about a month ago, I was replenishing the bird bath, and a young pine siskin came down to splash in the fresh water, I stopped pouring and it looked up to me...I continued with the watering can...and the sweet bird came under the water pouring out to shower...and I just kept pouring....then it hopped away onto the ledge to shake off the water and flew up to a close spruce limb~~~ 💚 Thank You and Nature for her peaceful offerings~~~

I loved this routine! Just what I needed. I visualized something I like to do often that makes me feel peaceful and connected to Nature. I love to stand beneath the branches of a beautiful tree and look up. I even like to touch the leaves and feel the texture between my fingers.

The word or idea or image or whatever was a real surprise. I try to practice meditation multiple times, and my mind is so busy during those times with memories, current thoughts or worries or planning and an experience of what I call forecasting, trying to predict what's going the result of an event or project or task ahead of me. The forecast is usually cloudy with a guarantee of thunderstorms, and I'm usually wrong. Even if something does go wrong, there usually SOME good that comes out of it. I'm sure that's not a surprise to anyone who practices meditation. The word and image that came to me for peace is emptiness. My mind had space and thought of nothing but the practice. That's rare for me and such a enlightening "peaceful" surprise. So thank you so much for that!!

I Love this, and I felt a light inside and I could remember a memory from my childhood, when I was sleeping in a window in a house by the sea and I saw the light from the sun glitter on the waves and everything became light around me. Thank you so much Jeff. I have shared your Qigong with others as i love that it is gentle, outdoors and traditional. Anyone can benefit from your way of doing Qigong. The Qigong I studied is similiar, only we always opened and closed with a bow and before closing saved the chi into our tien dien. I have been following you for over a year now and really love how quickly your practice and voice calm my mind and system. Blessings and gratitude.

A few images came to mind. One was sitting at the table of a mountain cabin in the morning with a cup of tea watching a cloud travel up and along the road as if it had a vehicle. Second was when my 75lb Hound dog settles down on my lap and naps like a cat. Until the circulation in my legs stop, it’s super peaceful! The others were my other animals and the various ways they lean on me or cuddle in with me. Their trust and affection feels like peace. Bonus: the Hound and our older girl both joined us to do the routine. Our animals love qi gong!

Found this practice really helpful. Loved the combination of the spinal twisting with the cleansing, and then following that up with cloud hands, which to me is this very ethereal "I am" kind of movement.

This is a great routine for really letting go and just immersing yourself in that feeling of relax and let goooooo lol. Thank you Jeff! I feel amazing. I also placed myself into heart coherence before starting this routine or any other sequences so I am able to continue to take these amazing sensations and feelings into the rest of my day! Namaste.

Just found your channel and subscribed. Love uour teaching style. While doing this routine I went back to my happy place where I was 2 weeks ago on holiday. In a hammock, under a palm tree on the beach of tropical island in south pacific, no one wanting anything and I didn't have to be anywhere or talk to anyone ( I am a nurse and 2 and half years of pandemic had left me burnt out) I have done Qi Gong in the past and it's a reminder to start it up again. Thank you. Looking forward to doing more if your videos.
