I think you're just talking about yourself. You just need to have sex. That's a great stress reliever! Plenty of dopamine there. It's that simple. You're overcomplicating it, but you're still young and naiive. You're book smart, but not wise. You don't see the big picture yet. The answer isn't in books. In this age where we’re exposed to what everyone around us is up to through social media, we often find us comparing ourselves with others, and in turn feel a sense of lack for what we don’t have. Instead, stay away from social media, and be grateful everyday for what you already have 😊

As u said people find them comparing themselves with others. Those thoughts would have a influence on something if it is good or not. Minds are unable to be altered though. Your mind is completely made up once you're no longer a child. Your psychological identity is formed, and there's no way in tampering with that. So it's kind of a subjective situation. You'll die with the mind you have, no matter what.

I wanna share my little story. There was a period in my life where I was lost, I finished school, could not get a job, got a heartbreak, and basically I was spending my days numb in bed, not doing anything, not wanting to eat or to you know, even take showers. But I decided to change it, I read about happiness steps, I bought sudoku, and I was doing it also I was making myself tea, and it was super hard to enjoy it at the begining, but every day it was getting better and better, I was doing more steps, I started to pay more attention to things around me and not inside me, and somehow I got out. Now since that time I enjoy every little thing, I find happiness easily.

You're so great, Ruri. I generally HATE productivity KZbin. I personally find it very toxic, counter-productive and unrealistic. I always find your content to be truthful, enlightening and helpful. You do your research and include scientific explanations, but at the same time you include humanising elements to make these solutions tie-in in a satisfying overall feeling. I'm a neurodivergent and I am trying extremely hard these days to understand myself. It can be a chore to filter through the content that's going to genuinely provide me with support and some answers. You're one of those people and I am very grateful. A life without a vision feels meaningless and boring. We all need a goal and vision to look forward to, and while you’re at it, try to make the journey to your goal fun 🙌🏼😇
@ShenShen88
@ShenShen88 Жыл бұрын
I 100% agree. But for some people, it can be a real struggle to find a vision and a goal. I remember hearing about a 5 years plans when I was in university .... and honest.... I had no ideas what I wanted out of life. Where I wanted to go. What I wanted to do. Took me years on the work market with many trials and errors to finally figure it out. Having a goal definitely helps. I strongly believe today that there's more happiness coming from focussing on the journey itself, to live in the moment, to be grateful for what you have. No matter where life takes you. Because finding your goal (goals) and vision, is just not something that naturally comes to everyone. Life gots to be fun and enjoyable even when you live in uncertainty and you're not sure where all of this leads to. My opinion, of course.

I would love to add another tip: try to heal your inner child. I don't really remember much from childhood but as I started unfolding it, I rediscovered myself and things that I used to like/love but totally forgot about them ! I personally don't enjoy sports, but I love bicycling and roller skating. I don't enjoy hard-thinking activities, but I love reading and journaling. I don't like relaxing and yet taking bath and lighting a candle helps ! It may seem like nothing but those things improved my life a lot and astonishingly they were the kind of things I used to do as kid. Sometimes it's not something new that our soul craves, but past familiar stuff I sincerely hope that all of you will find something that you like !!

5:00 I would say more important factors for your hobby that would stimulate you in a healthy way would be: 1. the hobby needs to be social, practice it with other people so you can all share the time together, have fun, laugh, experience and enjoy life 2. the hobby needs to have some sort of progression built into it, whenever you progress your brain will give you a reward for improving and accomplishing a goal 3. combining the previous two you get another reward - whenever you get better and get a new skill in your hobby you could impress the other people in your social group or the people with whom you are practicing the hobby - this means you get another reward from your brain - you get to feel good because you receive social approval and admiration

You’ve put so many thoughts I’ve had this year into words. After going thru a traumatic event, I’ve been grinding my brain for an entire year trying to figure out how to make my life better. After a ton of trial and error, ultimately I came down to this exact process. And I guess someone wrote a book about the same conclusion I came to!! Absolutely crazy. It feels good not knowing I’m alone. This process works, it gave me a lot more meaning in the hardest time of my life. I definitely recommend trying it out to anyone who’s struggling. Bruh that's kind of a stupid ideology to be honest, money is a essential resource. It's ok if you don't priorize it as if it was world's top importance, but the value of money shouldn't be subjugated at all. If anything, money should matter more than your family, as it's your money that will save you from specific situations. You'll still rely on the sustenance of certain familial positions in certain cases because they're your support, your financial conditions will be a element throughout the process to serve as your foundation. Not saying you should treat your family like they're worthless, they still have value and are of utility, but money is irrevogably a item of major relevance in your life, as long as you're alive.

Thanks. I always have feel like I'm in an endless cycle, I feel great and do things, and I'm "productive" for a few days and then I spend weeks, even months, doing practically nothing and feel overall sad, tired, souless, meaningless, boring, without a raison d'etre. I don't really think I have the words to describe how I feel at that periods, but I hope you, the reader, get the idea. I really wanna try to know how it feels to want to live. Maybe this time it will work. And maybe it can stay like that.

I think the number one thing to get out and enjoy life is, to get out your comfort zone box and experience something new. I agree that chemical balance is important, especially regulating the circuits of dopamine in the brain and body. (also with regulating serotonin, cortisol, oxytocin, etc.) The key is balance between your productive hours and the free time enjoy things. Overall, I love these life advice videos that you are putting out!

Life boring or not is more like perception formed by outer exposure to other`s life and by others by other`s life. If you try to rethink everything in your life without comparing, everything is not so bad. But if you feel your life is boring but without outer comparison, then you need to move and quickly. Also read Chainsaw Man😉

I find that the time you spend sleeping can actually be the best time of the entire day. If you approach life as if that time is just written off as automatic sleep, and the rest of the day is your only time to work with, you may be more likely to engage in habits which limit your quality of rest. But, if you treat the time you are resting as a crucial component to your fulfilment you will weigh your decisions accordingly.

I hope you continue to produce them for a long time to come. This one, in particular, rang true for me. I am getting bored with the same old routine day after day. The advice in this video was spot on and made me think about how to get out of this cycle I have been in for far too long. Thank you for making me think! You are truly wise beyond your years.

The problem I have is everything becomes boring after a month or so. I achieved great results from working out at the gym for a month and loved the results, but the routine got boring and I quit. I achieved great results from yoga and meditation. Loved the results but the routine got boring and I quit. In my life I found my happiness often comes from others. No I am not dependent, but I like being around people. If I start a routine or something with someone I will often never quit because I don't feel alone. I can just never find anyone and I am often always alone. Ironically I have lots of friends, but they don't particularly want to do the same things with me. The costly and adventurous things I mean. My life partner wants to do everything with me which is perfect, but we have been in an extreme ldr for many many years and still working on trying to close the distance. I just feel trapped and waiting.

I recently came across your channel and I really like your videos and the topics. I also had this boring, meaningless life for a while, which caused me more depression and some things I did felt wrong. I would cautiously say that I have this time behind me because I found a hobby that I enjoy and has helped me much, but I don't think I'm completely out of the woods yet and sometimes I fall behind a bit, because my hobby is is something manual that takes a lot of time and that you can't do it always but that's okay rather on other things. I don't think life is boring or pointless, but it's not yet the way I imagine it should be. I think I should exercise more because that might help. Your video still helped me. Many greetings from Germany.

I'm somewhat in the lucky situation to follow my dream-job and to do what I love and it's still freakin hard! Following your dream is so much easier said than done because EVERYTHING that you do repetitively sooner or later becomes usualness... yet to be able to compete within free enterprise economy you have to collect a lot experience through repitition. This is one of the biggest things I learned in 2022... focus on what is important and fun to you and remind yourself why you got into your profession in the first place.
