I recently switched from bodybuilding to CrossFit and found it a real humbling experience. Mobility is a huge issue for anyone switching disciplines, I'm pretty sure we all suffer it. In my case, years of strength conditioning has left the collagen in my tendons with no flexibility. Putting my arms above my head without arching my back hurts, not across the pecs, but in the compression of the Subscapularis muscle. A sports therapist has helped but it is just going to take time doing many of the stretches in this video. Thrusters are the worst :-( Craig, did you find the same and how long did it take for you to loosened up? Keep the videos coming, buddy, they really help.

Awesome video... my shoulders always cause me pain, where I dislocated both of them and they have never really recovered...just stretching them out slowly should help me day to day!

I have hyper extension at my elbows which I found has made it very difficult for me to land in a correct snatch position. Does anyone have tips to help with this?

not sure there is much u can do, is there? my gf has that problem, she just needs to warm up a lot whenever doing snatch work so nothing is tight and getting pulled in her elbow
