In Bulgarian washing machine is peralna (перална) and washerwoman is perachka (перачка), ключ (klyuch) for key , dream is сън (like in sun, run, burn, turn, помахам с ръка(pomaham s ryka) (to wave), necktie is вратовръзка( vratovryzka)( врат is neck and връзка is tie), sea is море (more),drink is питие(pitie)(if it is alcohol) or напитка(napitka) (non-alcohol), family is семейство(semejstvo), relatives are роднини (rodnini).

In Slovak we are not using a term for a woman which is washing clothes, but in my opinion it would be práčka in both cases.

@@ilijamitrevski1210 Very wierd that you would use that word for a car wash... I think you are misusing it, typical. How do you call a "washing machine". A car wash in Bulgarian is Автомивка (Avtomivka) Mivka is "wash basin/sink", the verb Мия (Miya) is to "wash/clean" Avto is car from latin. So AVTO-MIVKA (Car Wash)

Slovak is much closer to me. Croatian is more distant. When Croat explains, I need to listen very carefully. But when Slovak explains, I even feel relaxed 😂

13:31 As a Serbian, first I couldn't relate "krk" to neck, but later i remembered of the term "na krkače" which is a situation when you are standing and someone sits on you shoulders, for example when a child sits on parent's shoulders. That's the only connection between krk and neck I can recall. Btw, if we are talking about the neck, the first choice would be "vrat", and the second would be "šija".

In Polish: "Praczka i pralka jest lepsza niż praca i proca" means: "Washerwoman and washing machine is better than work and slingshot" :)

@@SB-fw3yr In Slavic languages "action" is mostly the most important, so in many Slavic languages (in various grammatical and ortographic forms): "praczka pierze" or "praczka robi/działa/czyni pranie" (as "osoba" or "maszyna" ), the same as "piwowar warzy piwo" (as "osoba" or "fabryka :)

@@SB-fw3yr This makes Pan-Slavic sense, because Russian word "stirat" means in Polish literally "ścierać" or "trzeć", from which is derived also Polish "tarka" (as washboard for hand washing), which was used before the invention of Polish "pralka" (as "washer machine" :)

This is interesting in Macedonian the verb napoi (not to be confused with napie or pie which means to drink) means to give water to a horse or some other animal or something maybe even people while poleva is the same but for plants BUT napoj (it sounds exactly like the Slovak word) is a source of electricity and I never thought about it but I guess they're related words since you're giving electricity to a circuit like you'd give water to a horse haha. A drink is a napitok.

Same here if you are telling to someone to give water to a horse you would say “Napoj koňa”. But for you to see the difference nápoj (you read a longer) and napoj (vowel a is short).

In Bulgarian: Napoi means to "irrigate/saturate" with liquid. Napie/pie means to "overdrink/drink" So "Napoi Konya" would be to give the horse water to drink. But you can also say "Drvoto se napoi" - meaning "The tree was watered" If you want to say, "Water the plants" we would say "Polei rasteniyata" (Полей растенията) "He is watering the plants" = "Той полива растенията" (Toj poliva rasteniyata) "Напитка" (Napitka) = A Drink (typically alcohol) "Напрежение" (Naprezenie) which means "Power" refers to electricity source

Problem je što sugovornici najčešće ne znaju ni vlastiti jezik, tj. znaju samo svoj dijalekt. U svakom jeziku imaš valjda 2-3 sinonima od kojih je bar jedan vezan za neki drugi jezik. Ako pričaš s nekim i vidiš da te ne razumije samo spomeneš neki sinonim i odmah te skuže. Osim Dalmatinaca, oni ne kuže ništa van linije Benkovac-Zadar. :)

Woman who washes clothes in Croatian would be Pralja. Mašina za Rublje ili Perilica Rublja

One more comment haha the Croatian word obitelj is related to the Macedonian word obitel which means a congregation of monks and is the origin of the name of the second biggest city in Macedonia Bitola cause it used to have a lot of churches before the ottomans came. Its names in Aromanian Turkish Greek and Albanian are Monastiri and they have a similar origin. Pretty interesting how one word diverged so much in meaning.

@@goranjovic3174 from what I've found online the Old Church Slavonic word obitel comes from the verb obvitati (from which the modern Macedonian verb obvie comes from) so your word is a verb derived from a noun derived from a verb which in itself is derived from another verb (ob+vitati) XD crazy stuff

Obitel is an old word from Bulgarian (Old Church Slavonic) - Calling this word "Macedonian" is not historically correct. In Bulgarian, Obitel refers to Monastery, Family/Congregation of Monks

@@dayanbalevski4446 equating OCS and Bulgarian is very retarded since one is a dead language and the other is a living language, also the people that spoke OCS never called it Bulgarian, they called it словѣ́ньскъ ѩзꙑ́къ and calling the word Macedonian is both historically and linguistically correct because the same word can exist in multiple different languages. "Wolf" isn't either and English word or a German word. It's both, because they both inherited it from Common West Germanic, their common ancestor. Whatever I do I can't escape you people on the internet.

@@ilijamitrevski1210 i agree totally with you. Words with Slavic roots are first of all Slavic, than of today's Slavic nations . I old times was one nation - Slavic nation - tribes, we all share the same ancentors and roots :)
