I’m sure people have already pointed this out, but the letter Æ is used in Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, and Faroese. It has has also been used in old English, Latin, and Greek. In old English it would be pronounced like something between A and E (æsthetic). In Scandinavian languages it would sound more like the A in apple or similar to the E in enema. Knowing Tool, I’m fairly certain Ænema is pronounced Enema. Lately søme cømpanies have been using peøple’s new favøurite Scandinavian letter in their branding, just because they think it løøks cøøl (but of course it doesn’t). I don’t think Tool would use the letter Æ just because they think it looks cool. They probably used it because they wanted the name of their song to be pronounced a certain way. Wether they were going for the old English pronunciation or the Scandinavian pronunciation is hard to say, but I’ve got my money on the latter.
