Hell yeah! I'm glad they went back to it after not using it for the promo for AoU. They'd been criticised for that and they fixed it which is awesome. Seeing that trailer in imax and then the theme playing at the end gave me chills every time. Not to mention when they played it over the title card in IW itself. I love the theme so damn much it just instantly makes me happy whenever I hear it.

Something that isn’t said enough. When they started out, Marvel was nearly bankrupt. They had a slew of terrible movies and had no way to compete with DC, backed by Warner Bros. They, with relatively tiny budgets, made Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and others, and managed to turn them into cultural icons, while DC with effectively limitless resources, couldn’t even make a movie that matched the worst of the MCU.

it's embarrassing to compare these movies. the whole idea and point of the Avengers, which was thoroughly made clear and explored in the film, is that they needed to team up to fight the battles they couldn't alone. meanwhile in Justice League Superman shows up and easily solo the villain after he solo the team in an earlier scene. lol.

You forgot what I consider the most underrated moment in Avengers, when comparing character vs character. And that's Black Widow vs Loki. For being as under-powered as she is compared to the rest of the team(sans Hawkeye) Black Widow was able to go toe to toe with Loki, MENTALLY! Against the trickster God himself, Black Widow fooled his ass into giving away info. It was such a great, yet subtle moment for Black Widow that really showed her unique "strength" and cemented her place on the team perfectly.

Also needs to be said... Avengers (2012), Justice League (2017) Marvel was doing something that had never been done before. It wasn't perfect, but it got the important things right. DC had an extra five years to learn, to tweak, hell, just to observe and see what Marvel did right and what they did wrong. Those ended up being five very, very wasted years.

Actually , the best use of THE AVENGERS theme was at the end as Fury was talking to Hill and as THE AVENGERS were splitting up to go home . That scene left us no choice but to go home with huge goofy smiles on our faces and for comicbook fans even more excited after we saw the Thanos reveal scene .

Avengers 1 > Infinity War. A4 is still pending, of course, and A3’s legacy kinda depends heavily on the payoff in A4, but A1 has so many wins that it’s going to be a long way to catch up, and it defined the genre. A3-A4 are just more Avengers - A1 was the epic moment of creation. If A4 was an actual finale, sure, maybe, but as it is now it’s just more A.

@@mariosblago94 the first avenger movie had less characters so they could give each character more time for development, also less stories, only the big one: the heroes overcome their differences and face the bad guy; IW had Visions/Cap part Iron Man/Strange part and then Guardians/Thor and then combining all 3 stories at the end for the big baddy. For the limited time they had i'd say they gave enoufht development for each one and the passing is slow enough to understand whats happening but not slow enough so the movie reach the 5 hours mark. I say at the end that IW is just a bit better or equal to the first Avengers

Avengers: Form a team of characters that have had some time to let the audience know who they are and what motivates them. Then put them up against a threat that requires them to come together in order to defeat it and fight as one. JL: Form a team of characters were one of them has a backstory and motivation the audience has learned(WW) a character whose motivations weren't adequately defined in the previous film and has a personality change that doesn't mesh with the one from before (Batman) and throw in a few more whose character development ends at "hey it's Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg." Then put them up against a threat that requires them to bring one OP character back to life who can singlehandedly make the rest of the team look useless in comparison.

My favorite parts of the final battles in the Avengers movies is the teamwork and how they use their own respective powers and abilities to more effectively take out enemies. I think Endgame does it the most and the best in my opinion. Most of it was callbacks to ways they played off of each other's powers in the first Avengers but it payed off and still felt fresh. Not to mention all the newer characters that they fought with like the Gaurdians, Spider-Man, Ant Man, and Doctor Strange. I think Infinity War was the best at having more of the phase 2 and 3 characters fight together. My favorites were all the combos with Doctor Strange.

Endgame has a great final battle with great moments in said final battle, but is wrapped in 2 hours of filler before we finally get there, and has lots of plot holes. Not to mention that everyone except the OG Avengers are pretty much statists and it managed to butcher some of the OG Avengers (Thor and especially Hulk).

Not only that, Avengers came out in 2012, JL came out in 2017. DC has no excuse to make JL so subpar next to Avengers because they had TIME and resources to learn how to get it right. AND they had more money. The CGI in JL is inexcusable trash. Steppenwolfe looks like he walked out of a PS2 game. The sound design of his hammer smash sounds like a bass boosted tuning fork, there's no weight to the blows due to its generic sound and the audience can't fully appreciate his moves. Even Loki had better sound design and choreography. The Amazon's got the most skimpy outfits and half the time WW is on screen her butt (which her outfit is shorter than in her movie as well) is shoved in our face, sometimes even directly underneath her! So much for 'feminist' Joss Whedon saving the day! Also Superman's CGI upperlip. Just, no words, everytime he was on screen I was crying my eyes out because of his masculine figure but then seeing those awful baby lips. Can we get a moment of silence for DC because Henry Cavill left the WB chat and he was *admin*. Also, this is coming from a DC and Marvel fan. JL was a disgrace and I can't even rewatch it without turning it off and putting on Winter Soldier to refresh my brain. But then, the most memorable music choice in Infinity War was silence… Some KZbinr tried to score the last scenes by using different theme music for the characters, and while it was a valiant effort, it didn't work at all. And not just because silence was the best choice you could have made, the constant switching around between the themes was kind of distracting. Most of the heroes are btw connected to one song or another...Immigrant song for Thor, Ironman for Ironman, Hocked on a Feeling for the GotG…..

Generally speaking, music and themes have been an afterthought in the MCU... they didn't even bring back Silvestri for AoU, and the theme is only heard twice in that movie I think. I think the win happened before the films were ever made. Marvel - Someone who loved the comics saw that they got the rights back for Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, and thought it would be an awesome idea, and threw his heart and soul into making it happen. DC - Someone who loved money, saw the Avengers, and thought Superman is more famous than Iron Man, we are guaranteed more money than them if we copy them, and half-arsed it thinking comic-book movies don't need to be good because nerds will love them and defend them and buy all the merchandise even if they are awful. DC's plan didn't work out like that, because they didn't realise comic fanboys picked a side for life like they are football teams or something, and EVERY fanboy they could hope to sell to is less than half because more comic fanboys picked Marvel, cos EVERY DC fanboy that exists in the world claims Justice League and Wonder Woman are the best films ever, screeches about that on the internet, and refuses to watch Marvel movies and tells the world how awful they are. And they aren't numerous to make the films profitable all by themselves when the films are blatantly awful, or dent Marvel's profits because non comic fanboys will watch those movies because the Marvel ones are actually really good. Dogs Are Weird Without comics there wouldn’t be movies. Comics are more important. Marvel used to have good comics, but now that their focus is on movies there comics are getting worse. DC has given up on movies, and so their main focus is Comics and Animation. I really wish DC had good movies, they have amazing characters like Superman, Aquaman, a Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, etc.
