Hey! The part where you talk about insuline. If your body produces less insuline the cells will not try and use the less amount of insuline you have. It will produce Glucagon. Made out of glucogeen and they open fat reserves.

Why are people thinking that Coconut Oil is good for you ( except to apply to your skin ) it is almost ALL saturated fat, and about as healthy as Lard or Butter Ghee ( which is used a lot in Arab and Indian countries ). My wife works on a cardiology ward and asked the senior consultant cardiologist the question and he said it is definitely NOT good for you, this is why countries like Micronesia,New Guinea and Fiji have such hy Heart disease even though there diet at first glimpse looks a good healthy one , its because they consume large amounts of Coconut OIl . Yes sure other countries have higher heart disease but this is a factor of VERY poor diet and of course smoking like Russian and Balkan countries. I myself fell into the trap of cooking in Coconut Oil but have soon dropped it for Avocado Oil ( Expensive ) or Rapeseed Oil ( Very Cheap ) and of course for salads and the like Olive Oil ( Not good for cooking on high heat ) A good rule of thumb if it sets hard it not healthy for you !. Love your channel though Wesley its my Favourite !!!

Hi Wes. Looking at your fats intake for the day, they seem a little less than I’d have expected. I was under the impression that you usually have around 2/3 of your protein intake as fat, however, these figures are less than 1/3. Have you switched things up a bit? Could you try setting up something similar for me with regards to your meal plan spread sheet, please? Is this a service you offer through your website? Cheers 👍🏻
@VintageGenetics4 жыл бұрын
I honestly added more protein to my diet as it helps me stay lean and since my original lean bulking video (1-2 years ago) I have put one some muscle, requiring more protein. I do have more fats on my rest day as I showed in the video though. And yes I do offer personalized nutrition plans on my website!

Hey Wes, I've always enjoyed your nutrition videos over the past few years; few cover it like you do. I know you've mentioned you prefer fish over other meats for digestive reasons for your body but do you do eggs ever? Also would be curious on your take on flax seeds or chia seeds. Cheers
@VintageGenetics4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes I do like eggs too, but make sure to go with the 'omega-3 eggs' as they come from chickens who either eat omega-3 enriched foods or eat foods they'd naturally eat. The egg yolk should be dark yellow/orange instead of pale yellow. I like chia seeds for their fiber content also.

Do you think your digestion tip would improve digestion for someone with an acid reflex problem? I have to take heartburn medication daily and would love to do something more natural like this!
@UncleMike814 жыл бұрын
Try drinking like 16 oz of water in the morning with like 1oz of apple cider vinegar. Use a straw so you don't ruin your teeths enamel. The idea is to ingest a weaker acid so you body doesn't over produce a stronger stomach acid that's causing the reflux. Obv, eat your meals slower too. Edit: just saw his tip... The idea is the same. Just make sure you get "the mother"in the vinegar.
@VintageGenetics4 жыл бұрын
Yes it would. Heartburn or acid reflux is caused by too little stomach acid actually, not allowing for food to be digested quickly enough. So using the apple cider vinegar and lemon juice will all help.
